Alli |Female|Second in command Shifter|No tags, but open|In the grass beside her cabin|No crush, boyfriend, or husband.
The female lay in the shaded grass beside her cabin on her belly, in her human form. Even for her, the heat was oppressive. She groaned, rolling onto her back, and closed her eyes, trying to think. She was sure there was something she needed to do, but she couldn't remember just what.... The heat was too much to move around in anyway. With a sigh, she surrendered to it, and lay her head back in the pillow of grass to close her eyes and take a nap.

Drakkon|Male|Hunter|No tags, Open|In the forest on the way to the lake | No crush, girlfriend, or wife.
The male was in his African Hunting Dog form, trotting through the trees, panting slightly as he moved over the sundappled ground. He couldn't smell anything around. Likely, all the prey was being smart and hiding from the heat. With a sigh, he headed towards the lake, hoping to cool down.

Parody//Nyx|Female|Expiriment|No tags, Open for scientists|In her 'room'|No crush, boyfriend, girlfriend, or spouse.
Parody groaned as she woke up, muscles screaming from all the tests the scientists had been doing on her, and feeling dull and lifeless from the drugs being pumped in through the catheter in her arm. she turned her head to the right, looking towards the door. She sat in a corner in the small, cage-like room. At least she wasn't strapped down to some stretcher. She'd learned long ago not to fight them. She didn't care at this point what they did to her next, because nothing could be worse than them making her run for endless hours. She did feel slightly sick, but she hadn't let that show, and it seemed to irritate them. With a sigh, she leaned her forehead against her arms, carefully.

Kouga|Male|Loner|No tags ATM|Roaming the town|No crush or girlfriend
Kouga had no-one. That was the only thought in his mind. How lonely he was. He didn't interact with any of the humans, of course as a fox he never did. Even in his human form, he didn't. He sighed slightly, slipping down an alley, hoping to be able to find some scraps or something to eat.

ooc -
    hope this is ok
    for my first post!

caitlin - theme song - tags: please do not interact
stone thumps beneath my feet as I race towards the forest. sirens fill the streets as lights begin to turn on.
people are watching from every house, every apartment, every building that lines the old, worn-down str-
eet that I sprint on. my tennis shoes were too worn to keep, so I had thrown them out and took to my bare
feet. the corn fields were only minutes away, though I was not at all sure if I could get there. I will not
allow them to kill me like they did him! never in a million years!
nobody knows that secret, and I don't
intend to share it either. I can see the farmlands by now, and they could not catch me now. unless I am
    pursued by foot..
I push that thought out of my head and keep moving, the sharp leaves of the cornstalks
cutting against my skin. once I am sure that no person is near to see me, I stop and slip into my owl form, fl-
ying high above the city. I spot police officers holding the leashes of which belong to tracking dogs. "Doesn't
matter, they can't catch me now anyway. Not unless they have one of those net shooters!"
    I whisper to none
other than myself. I am alone. There is nobody who is like me or can ever be like me. I am different. I am alone.

Jenna Hyman | Leader | Bisexual | 17 | least weasel;;kodkod | tagged;; x

As Jenna approached the lake, she decided that she might stay cooler in her least weasel form. She switched quickly, the change in height dizzying. When she had fully shifted, she heard some footsteps coming from the direction of the camp. Wondering who it was, she decided to stay out of the lake until they approached.

Flynn was readying a vehicle to go out on, yet again, another trip to try and find the shifters' camp, and, still, they had no luck. This was not a job he preferred at this particular time; since, when he almost certainly came up with no leads of to where the camps are and no new specimens, the blame usually lay on him, unfortunately. Perhaps today he would have better luck, just maybe.
The blond stepped into vehicle, buckling the seat belt and turning it on. Maybe we need a new strategy for catching them or whatever. Why don't they just keep interrogating the one they have now to figure it out...? he wondered. It, of course, seemed like an easy option — in practice, likely not so much.
He did, a little, almost hope he did not come across one of them — he knew some of their second forms were downright deadly and, as this was a solo mission, he didn't really feel like dying today, that was for sure. Flynn sighed, shaking his head and beginning to drive from the premises. “.....”

( sorry! can only reply with Flynn for now ^^' )

    yuri lowell / 21 / hunter / dhole & maltese tiger / homosexual / tags;; none

After a little while, the hunter grew agitated with the feeling of heat baking his black pants and thus frying his legs underneath them, shifting and jumping down from the tree, landing in a neat squat before straightening smoothly. Sighing, he glanced about from where he stood not too far off from the entrance of the camp; well, he supposed wandering off on his own like their leader had explicitly told the group not to do was just fine. Oh, how he loved agitating Jenna; as a person, he didn't mind a leader's age, gender, or anything else--so long as that leader knew how to lead, he'd do as they requested. Mostly. Besides, she was being too much of a worrywart with leaving the forest; it was fine, what with how uselessly blind the scientists were. Still, it wasn't entirely just because he wanted to check things out... With Jenna, her temper was just too much to amuse himself with; sure, it wasn't the best quality in a leader, but he'd known someone as a kid that had been just as easy to anger--but he'd been a pretty good leader when it came to group activities or mock-fights against other kids. Nostalgia grasped him for a moment as he walked, slipping one hand into his pocket casually and closing his gray eyes; boy, had it been easy to run away. No parents to his name. No guardian. Just...him. That had been the one thing he'd regretted in leaving; his best friend had been by his side from the moment they had met, sticking to each other like glue for those three years they'd had together--and then, Yuri had left. He'd been forced to, if he wanted to keep himself safe. He couldn't help but feel selfish, but then again, he didn't think he was too wrong for doing it. I just hope he's doing well, I guess, he thought, heaving a slow sigh and running his free hand through his long hair. I really need to stop thinking so much.

    jude mathis / 16 / medic / peregrine falcon & sand cat / bisexual / tags;; franky

Jude barely caught himself in time and let his foot fall flat against the ground again where it had just taken off, avoiding the near run-in he was to have with a girl--Franky, he believed. Smiling a bit, he shook his head, stepping a bit back himself and holding the book tucked under one of his arms and against his side. "No, no, that was my fault. Go ahead," he offered, motioning a small, polite gesture. Of course, he knew everyone by name, but not so much on an emotional spectrum. He was a bit awkward with people most of the time, resulting in his lack of personal interaction with most. He was sure that, to a lot of shifters in the camp, he was just the medic--and he was fine with that, in all honesty. So long as they trusted him enough to let him help them heal or recover from a sickness, he was just fine. Still, maybe, for once, saying something other than a dismissive reply would be nice. "...er...it's a nice day today, don't you think?" he asked, his awkwardness practically written all over his face. He wasn't terrified of the girl, just...moreas inept at being properly social with anyone.

    julius will kresnik / 28 / second-in-command scientist / pansexual / tags;; nix

It didn't take long at all for the second in command to grow agitated, impatient. Their only scout on hand at the moment was going out to search again, but he was useless. Even without speaking much to him outside of the profession, Julius could tell that he was soft-hearted, and far too weak to properly do his job. However, he would give him his chance. If he proved to be a trust-worthy scout, then he would be welcome to stay and assist in their goals. If not... The scientist sighed and rose from where he'd been sitting, snatching up a clipboard and reading along the pages attached. Well, it'd been a few hours since they'd taken their last heavy blood sample...he supposed it would do no harm(or at least, hopefully a little) to go and try interrogation again. The shifter was their only way of finding that camp if Flynn was still too incompetent to find it himself, so Julius was willing to interrogate and put up with whatever retorts she could muster until she finally spilled her answer. With that, he set down the clipboard and turned towards the door that led into the experimentation chambers. Upon unlocking it, he shut the door firmly and headed to the end of the long hallway, pulling the key to the girl's room from his pocket and turning the lock in that one, too. Of course, he shut it again upon entering, keeping close to the door. Although she had many detainment-necessary drugs in her system, he couldn't change her not getting up and trying to escape. His expression was firm as he looked down at her, eyes narrowed just slightly. "It's that time again, shifter," he remarked, "and I expect answers this time."

Parody//Nyx|Female|Expiriment|#Julius|In her 'room'|No crush, boyfriend, girlfriend, or spouse.
Hearing the scientist entering her room, Parody gave a slight groan. She had no clue where the others were, and of that she was glad. She'd long ago forced herself to forget the homey-no, she couldn't start to think of it now. She had to stay strong. For the sake of the others. She was nothing, meant nothing, but the survival of her sister, and of the other shifters, was a sweet victory she savored, even from the confining cell. So as he asked her again, her only response was to turn her head to him, look him in the eye, and say nothing. She was tempted to spit at him, but she hadn't had any water recently, and anyway, her mouth was bone-dry. She felt a defiant growl building in her throat, but shoved it down, contenting herself with the fact that even if she did speak, she wouldn't have any new information for them. Her eyes flashed, just briefly and barely, with the colours of her dominant shift, her leopard, as she glared slightly at the one she'd come to have an apathy towards. Niether hate, nor hope that he could be won over to her cause... Just an empty hole where emotion might have been.

Drakkon|Male|Hunter|No tags, Open|In the forest on the way to the lake | No crush, girlfriend, or wife.
Drake was relieved to see the lake appear, and trotted out of the trees after looking around, to lay in the shallows, then roll over to soak his reletively short coat. He enjoyed the cooling effect this had, not seeing the leader as she hid to see what was going on. He scented her, of course, but that was all.

Franky smiled at Jude. He was clearly uncomfortable, "Yeah, it is." she said, chuckling a little. Then, her green eyes fell onto the book in his arms, "What are you reading?" she asked, looking back up to him.

The blond was heading to a certain area; it was a rather large perimeter from where they had caught the first shifter, and that's where he was usually sent to look. There was evidence of someone there; he'd seen a few tracks, sometimes, in the forest, but there was nothing that could actually lead him there and he wasn't allowed anyone to help him search the area. For all he knew, the shifters could have moved further away or somewhere else entirely. It was a little frustrating, not knowing where anything could be and having absolutely no idea where to even begin in the annoyingly huge area.
Maybe, the blond thought in a frustrated manner, if I wasn't the only scout that actually did anything, it wouldn't be so bad.
Flynn spent the ride to the area quiet, and when he arrived he stopped the truck. He'd learned from experience (and common sense) that in the noisy vehicle didn't at all help his chances of finding anyone, and he could go much more silent on foot anyway.

Sniffing the air, she realized that the footsteps she heard belonged to Drakkon. Stepping out from where she had been hiding, she waved a small paw. She clumsily tripped through the sand, sinking to her upper leg.

yuri lowell / 21 / hunter / dhole & maltese tiger / homosexual / tags;; none; do not interact

Walking underneath the thick canopy of the trees in the forest was certainly a drastic change; it grew to be a bit cooler than the blood-boiling heat of the mostly shade-free camp. Of course, there was no complaint from the long-haired young man; in fact, he was quite comfortable at this point, closing his eyes and folding his arms behind his head casually as he walked. What was the big deal about going too deep out without anyone else, anyway? The threat wasn't too large, not anymore. The scientists never had a clue where to look, right? Right. I'll bet they've given up by now, anyway. What if they're not even looking for shifters back in the town anymore? he thought, brow furrowing in a troubled manner. What if the whole shebang had blown over, and their secret little camp base was pointless?
Yuri's gray eyes opened and his arms dropped to his sides, pausing. He could go back to town for a little look-see, couldn't he? No one suspected a fellow human. So long as he didn't shift-which was easy, considering how very voluntary that process was- he could walk about undetected, and maybe ask around a little. Maybe he could even return home. No, not...I couldn't abandon the group. We could all move back together, if it's safe. How do we even know if the scientists are still looking? Feeling a bit determined to find answers to his lingering questions, he forgot about the 'piss-off-Jenna' plan and focused more on 'see what's up' instead.

    jude mathis / 16 / medic / peregrine falcon & sand cat / bisexual / tags;; franky

Jude was quite aware that she probably knew he was a little discomforted with talking to her, but he appreciated the lingering interest in trying to communicate regardless. All he needed was a little chat to loosen up his nerves, he was sure. His smile broadened a bit when he was asked about his book, glancing down and grasping the thick book with both hands. "Ah, this? It's...it doesn't really have a title," he replied, "it's a mixture of...stories, I suppose I could say. Some are more scientific than others, but mostly, they're old wives tales. If I remember what people call them correctly." His smile turned sheepish. "It was...something my family owned." Briefly, he bit his lip. "Ahem. I've read it quite a few times over, though. I wish we could get more books here to pass the time."

    julius will kresnik / 28 / second-in-command scientist / pansexual / tags;; nix

Julius's eyes evenly narrowed a bit further, looking right back into her eyes. The way they shifted to a brief green hardly impressed him; they both knew quite well that there was no way for her to shift whilst under the influence of the drugs being injected into her system. He had to admit, it was admirable that she was still rejecting the interrogations; she'd be much better off if she'd just cooperate. "If you would give me answers, you would be comfortable here. I think we both know that quite well. Why bother protecting them anymore? They've abandoned you. You can tell by the way they haven't come looking for you." A small smirk crossed his face, far from pitying her; she deserved every bit of this misery. "Now, then. Are you going to give me an answer, or will I just have to take another copious blood sample? We aren't done testing the endurance of your kind."
