Dogs: Wild at heart

You are a dog. A pet or stray is up to you. You live in Peru where many dogs, stray or not, wonder during the day. If you are a pet you are allowed to roam the streets during the day, it's your choice if you return to your human at dinner time. As a stray you must hunt and find shelter for yourself. There are no particular packs of dogs just strays and pets that meet together during the day and form temporary packs without hierarchy. These "packs" will often disperse as pets go home then meet the next day, often with more or less than before as the dogs move around the city to explore. There are meeting places all over town where dogs of all kind hang around. Many dogs are mutts and crossbreds.

Plot
Each day, after breakfast, the pets are let out of the house to do as they wish. They can wonder as far from home as they wish. From as young as 7 months to as old as 16 years walk the streets of Peru. Most dogs know the streets as well as any cab driver and all the alley was and little holes in the fence. There are many people and cars but the dogs have learnt street smarts so you can cross the roads safely. If you're a pup you can learn street smarts by yourself, or you can follow an older dogs example. The dogs of Peru aren't aggressive to people, not even the strays. They step into line to pass the humans, or stay away from them entirely. Many dogs will follow each other to a spot where everyone likes to meet. Any experienced dog will know all the meeting locations around the town. Females in heat choose their partners, known as mates, who will stick to their side until she is ready. The male will growl at any other male who gets to close to his partner. Fights often break out, not play fight but street fights. Despite the ferocity, the rules they learnt as puppies means the bites rarely make contact and no one gets seriously hurt. At the end of the day it's the pet's choice on weather to go home. As soon as it's dinner time the dog start to slip away. Some travel in groups, normally neighbours or dogs who live down the street, and others travel alone. In a choice between the wild and home comforts they know where their loyalties lie.

Rules

Obviously basic sight rules apply.
1. Don't be your own crush or mate.
2. Fights are allowed but you can't seriously injure someone's character without permission. Only minor bites but not many.
3. Packs don't have hierarchy although there can be a slightly more dominant male or/and female of the group.
4. Create drama but be realistic with it. There are no dog catches but there can be some mean people.
5. Dogs must be realistic, act realistic. Crossbreds are allowed but no wolf hybrids.
6. I don't particularly want small dogs in this, if you watch the video it's mainly medium to large dogs. So no small dogs I'd say no smaller than a springer spaniel, or something like that. Dogs can be as big as they want but that doesn't meant they are more dominant.
7. Please let me know if you're going on holiday, or won't be able to post for a week or longer. If you do not post within a week and a half without notifying me of your absence than I will send a PM before deleting your characters. So please be as active as possible and don't join if you only post once a week.
8. I would like you to watch the video, only the end, if you haven't and if you can so you get a better idea of what the RP will be like and in case you don't understand what I said at the beginning.
9. Don't be lazy, if you've been gone for only a few days then try and find your last post then skim through the posts after that for the reply for your character so we don't constantly get "Recap?".
10. Don't start with a puppy. Youngest age is 12 months.

PM me if you have any questions. Obviously be nice in OC but your dogs can be a little mean but please not overly as this revolves around groups.
Many dogs, mainly the strays, will be mutts. The streets are rather dirty, like in the pictures, so your dog can't always be very clean.


I will supply a simple form, please upgrade it with extra information, colour, fonts, bold or slanted writing. Anything to make it look better. You many use your own. Also if your forms are dull or I don't think you've written enough then I will tell you or not accept you if you don't change it.

While he tends to fly solo, he may occasionally take a dog under his wing. Not very friendly, but proven loyal, Slade is the dog you want to hang with.
