don't mother birds give them worms? or bugs? definitely look it up, maybe you have to find a worm and cut it up into tiny pieces??

XD it isn't a real little bird, it's a kingbird fledging. it can fly but not very far. i tried letting it go but he just kept coming back to me. now he's sitting here perched on my finger and he doesn't seem to wanna go anywhere. i tried giving him some crickets and even a moth, which is what kingbirds eat, but he won't take it.

To get my cat to try new things, I just put it in her mouth so she can taste it. She will then usually spit it out and then eat it cause she realized its a delicious edible thing. Try that?
Treat it like a baby until it decides its big enough to feed itself. Aha
