Welcome To The Dragonlands

In a cluster of islands in the Pacific, unknown to humans, there is a land called, in English, the Dragonlands. Here the three species of dragons;Western, Eastern, and Waverns, live in relative peace. Each species has its own rulers and territory that suits it's individual needs, although there are frequent scuffles for territory, especially when food is scarce. But it is the Age of Exploration in human history, and there is a risk that humans will discover the islands. Will there be a war between humans and dragons? Or will there be peace?

Dragons of the Dragonlands
Isle of the Western Dragon
This island is the largest of the three, as are its inhabitants. The terrain is mostly forest, with a beach on the southern side and the main village, which holds the castle, near the center of the island. There are two volcanos which are currently dormant to the east and west, and, like the other islands, it is a temperate climate with little to no snow in winter. The dragons here are rather large and have four legs. They can be any color and have eather two or, rarely, four wings. Most have the ability to control an element, usually a variant of fire, water, air, or earth. The Royal family has the unique ability to shift into a human, but no other creature, and only the royal family have this power.

Isles of the Eastern Dragon
This island is the second smallest of the islands, and is less forested than the Western Dragon island. It is more mountainous and has more rivers that run through the valleys that the mountains create, where most of the dragons live. The main village and the castle is located near the largest of these rivers. The climate is temperate like the other islands, albeit a bit colder in the mountains. The dragons who live here are serphentlike in build, with streamlined bodies and small slim legs if they have them at all. Most can't fly, but have the ability to shapeshift into anything. Most also have no element with which to breathe out like Western dragons.

Isle of the Wayverns
This island is the smallest of all, and so are the dragons that live there. This land is mostly plains with a small desert on the eastern side of the island. The grasses grow tall on the plains and grazing animals abound, making up the majority of the inhabitants' diet. The dragons who live here are rather small and only have two legs and two small wings. They can run quite fast, however, and can control an element like the Western Dragons. Their Royal family too can shift into humans, but nothing else.
