There's a few things I want to mention. This is not done in any hostility! You guys are amazing, and your writing is amazing! I just want to clear some stuff up.

One. No mermaid has a "casual" relationship with a human. They save/form relationships with humans because of a huge drive inside of them to go against their nature, laws and culture. If a mermaid is going to interact with a human, please tell me beforehand. The fact that she doesn't mind humans/might be willing to break the timahk to talk to one should be mentioned in her bio, and clearly shown through her thoughts and actions beforehand.

The timahk is a BIG deal. If a mermaid defies it and is cast out of a tribe, it's very unlikely she'll ever be able to join a tribe again. When a mermaid has contact with a human, she is risking the safety of every mermaid. If she is caught, she will likely spend an eternity in the ocean alone.

If you guys would like to make challenging this culture part of the plot, that's great! But right now, in the RP, contacting humans is shameful, wrong, against a mermaid's nature, illegal, and will likely get her outcasted and probably harmed by her peers.

I don't mean this to be rude, guys! I just wanted to clarify!

Uh, question! Could mermaids from different tribes ever interact? I know that right now they aren't close to each other, but is that possible?

Are the tribes on good terms with each other?

Yes! Mermaids do interact with other tribes, though they don't come across them often...they've got no real reason to leave their area. It honestly depends on the queen, and the circumstances of the interaction. The only times things might get heated is if it was over territory, or a dispute with the timahk.

In the books, there's around twenty, thirty mermaids in a tribe...so really there's only going to be one huge tribe every hundred miles or so. (they can travel crazy fast with their tails). So again, tribes are spread out, and don't see each other often.

That could be a plot point too, though! ^.^ as long as we plan and discuss.

Making more characters, Maya and Judith. Gotta get images on one thing while I write the forms on my phone. I won't necessarily start playing the pair of them yet though.
