So, hello, I'm new :)
I'm checked out Plumarius quite a bit, but I do not own one yet. I'm big on character development, but I'm afraid I'm not good when it comes to making a pretty form. So I was wondering about some tips on how to make a good form!
Like you know, what all should I try and include, what is overused, what could be considered unique? What are some good ideas?

I am in love with plumie 600 so I am looking for a few HQ pieces ;v; I have quite a few r/vr pets [a few list i think xD], 850 points OR $10 USD, and I would be willing to do an art trade/slavery [wouldn't be finished till after the competition though; ex. [x] - [x]]

What make a good form and what makes a bad form?

Just wanted to say that coding does not make a form good. It can make it look pretty, but in around 95% of cases coding will not help you win in the slightest (coming from someone who owns 3 Plumerians, and barely coded any of their forms). I have so much respect for coders, though. I can't code. Not even BBCode.

What makes a form good (in my opinion, which tends to be the popular opinion) is UNIQUE character development. Not extra-special to the point that they're completely unrealistic, but make them stand out. For example, my plume Aoife has a bad leg that severely limits what she can do. My plume Shaka is a henna artist. I've never seen another plume with these traits, but they're not unrealistic.

Also, art is super important if we're talking impress me or art competitions. Unless you can whip up a masterpiece in an hour (which very few people are capable of), you should ideally spend several hours on a piece. Generally, the more time you put into a piece, the better it will turn out. If you don't like any aspect of your piece, change it. You should be proud of all art that you produce- and if you aren't, you aren't spending enough time fixing it. Look up anatomy tutorials. Lots of them. Watch speed paintings from advanced artists. Learn how they sketch, line, color, and shade/highlight their work.

Also, conveying a personality through art is SO IMPORTANT. Don't draw a plume just standing there expressionless.

High quality art, unique character ideas, and lots of personality.

Alright so this is all just my opinion of course, but anyway,
What makes a good form and what makes a bad form?
Positives:
-Good grammar/syntax, wide range of vocab, no misspellings. This shows commitment and that you put effort into proofreading.
-Character shows some flaws. Let's face it, no real person is perfect and plumerians shouldn't be either.
-Unique, but believable character. "Average joes" don't often win contests, but they shouldn't be able to accomplish whatever goals they have without a hitch.
Negatives:
-Pretty much the opposite of the positives list tbh.

What catches your eye when you are looking at forms for a Plumerian?
-Nice coding (aka nothing insanely sparkling/ in your face)
-Art with meaning. High quality art is always nice, but if you make art that develops the character in some way that's even better in my eyes.
-A developed personality!
