Nightshade had just moved into a long stretch, when Flamekit bounded over towards her. She finishes her stretch, claws digging into the soft soil, before she straightened, sitting down with her paw wrapped around her tail. "Hello Flamekit," she says, turning her blue gaze down towards the smaller cat. Normally, she wasn't much for kits, but Flamekit had never really bothered her so she didnt mind. "Im doing alright. What about you?" She replies back, her ears flicking forward to better hear his reply.

Featherflight had snuck out of camp early that morning and had gone hunting. She's caught a few squirrels. She delicately pads through the undergrowth. She smiles as she sees the tree trunk in sight. She picks up the pace and pads up to the kits rolling around. She drops the squirrels for them before lying down. She says sweetly "Hello kits, how are you all."

He sits away from Hawkkit and Leafkit grooming himself. He's coming up with a devious plan to trick the pair. But soon he can't resist the calling to tackle Leafkit, who's paying no attention. He lunges at her and brings both of them tumbling to the ground. He bursts out into fits of laughter and is only stopped when he gets a nudge in the side by Hawkkit. He looks up to see his mother. He smiles happily as she drops some food for him and his siblings. He tucks in, before cuddling into his mum.

Hawkkit rolls around in the dirt. He then stands up and is about to shake the dirt off, before he's tackled to the floor. He grins at his sister and paws her playfully. He then laughs as Leafkit gets sent flying. His ears prick up at the sound of footsteps. He smiles as his mum turns the corner. He then looks over to Speckledkit, who's still laughing. He gives him a shove before tucking into the squirrel and curling up with his mum.

Gingerkit bounded around happily. Today she would become an apprentice and get a mentor. She was so excited. She bounded around camp and jumped off every rock. She was 6 moons old. She had been waiting ages to become an apprentice and today was her day. She was so happy she didn't see a tree stump and tripped over it. The she-cat landed squarely on her sandy-ginger face.

Blizzardpaw sat quietly in the corner of camp. He was unsure of all the other cats so hid behind a rock. He curled up into a tight ball. He heard someone jumping around like crazy. He moaned and put his paw's over his ears. He felt the sun beat down on his brilliant white coat.

Wolfpaw padded out of the apprentice's den. He yawned and padded into the middle of camp. He sighed and lay down. He saw a mad sandy-ginger she-cat jump round like a lunatic. he recognised her as Gingerkit, soon to be Gingerpaw. He moaned. He wasn't looking forwards to having her as an apprentice. Hopefully, she'd calm down. But what were the chances of that.

Birchtail had been up before dawn. He'd been training in the forest. He leapt from tree to tree, perfectly. It had taken him ages to perfect it. A couple of months, years even. He sighed happily and padded back to camp. He looks around for a certain silver female. But shakes his head and thinks better of it. He decides to sit in the middle of camp. He sees a wild kit prance around. He rolls his eyes but smiles slightly.

WaningPaw smiled once he knew for certain he hadn't been seen leaving the camp. Now he could explore for certain! He ran away from the camp as fast as he could, promising himself he would eventually reach the edge of the territory. Then he could go wherever he wanted from there! He slowed as he reached the border. Something smelt off... He couldn't place it, he hadn't been on many patrols. He looked around for a second before he started to follow the scent until he noticed a pair of kits and what could only be their queen. He frowned. What were they doing out here?

Featherstar got up and shook the dirt out of her fur. She bathed herself for a moment to make sure she looked nice for the upcoming announcement. Gingerkit was going to be named apprentice. She was going to choose Nightshade as her mentor. But she also had other announcements to make. She was eager to get them over with, but she loved these moments as leader. She padded over to High Rock and leaped atop it, sitting neatly on her haunches and curling her tail around her paws. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting" She yowled, loud enough for all cats in her territory to hear. She waited patiently for her clan.

"Oh I'm doing well!" He meowed before hearing Featherstar call the clan. "Looks like there is a meeting!" He flicked his ears with curiousity.

Crimson padded to the fence at the edge of the yard and scrambled to the top of it. He sniffed around and scented new and strange cats. With a glance over his shoulder he made sure the humans weren't watching, and jumped down towards the forest. He followed the scent to a strange female cat with her two kits, and hid under a bush.

ClayTail stood up, yawning slightly as the meeting was called. He silently moved under the Highrock and looked up, watching the leader with his one good eye. His blind eye remained unfocused, looking through the leader towards the sky behind her.

Scarlet let out a soft curse under her breath, soft enough that her kits wouldn't hear her, as yet another bur catches in her long ginger fur. Stopping as her kits chase each other, she nibbles at the bur until she managed to remove the thing from her fur. Spitting the bur out away from her, she shakes out her fur, before looking towards her kits. "Come Storm, Dawn. We must be nearing their boarders..." She says, motioning for her kits with a sweep of her tail. She could sent the markers from here. With any luck, some nonthreatening cat will approach them, or she could try to track her way through the trees. Whatever worked...

Nightshade let out a soft purr, before her gaze drifted up to Featherstar upon the High Rock. She gets to paws, deciding to move closer, before looking down at the younger kit. "You can join us as long as you behave," she offers before slipping from the shadows in the way she does. Her black fur was just the right shade that it always looked like she simply appeared out of the shadows...as though the darkness was pulling at her fur as though not wanting to lose her.

Featherflight leapt to her feet. She had heard Featherstar's calling. She licked each kit gently, before saying "I'll be back soon." She raced off. She was in such a hurry she caught her paw on a thorn. She tried to keep her pain in. She didn't have time to take it out. The other cats thought she was still in her den. She continued to run and went in the back way into her den. She'd made it specially for this reason. She the calmed herself down and padded happily over to the high rock. She sat down and looked up interestedly.

Leafkit was sorry to see her mum go. She decided to help Hawkkit with his plan. They did this every time their mum left. Make the place look like they weren't there. She helped hide the dead squirrels, cleared the ground of any footprints and rolled in the dirt to hide their smell. She then leaped into the overturned tree trunk and lay down.

Speckledkit sighed as his mother left. She was always busy and he wished he could go with her to her clan. But no. He wasn't allowed and nor were his siblings. His mother had explained it time and time again but he wouldn't listen. He half heartedly dragged the squirrel, while listening to Hawkkit. He then plopped himself inside the overturned tree trunk.

Hawkkit nods at his mother before telling his siblings his plan. He knows he's said it so may times, that they know it off by heart. But he just can't help himself. He happily, picks up the carcass and sweeps away the paw prints. Before he rolls, joyously, around in the dirt, before ploping himself eagerly in the tree trunk.

Gingerkit jumps up off the floor and races towards the high rock. She starts to calm herself down and compose herself. She sits down and tries not to fidget. But she can't help it. She wonders what her leader's going to say. She stares up at the high rock with a beaming smile.

Blizzardpaw shakes uneasily as he pads between cats. he takes a deep breath and sits by the high rock. Many questions race through his mind. the main one was, what was happening? He wasn't sure but he was defiantly intrigued, to say the least.

Birchtail looks over to see Featherstar on the high rock. He looks intrigued and pads over. He presumed that was what you were supposed to do. His question was answered when Featherstar gave her calling. He smiled and wondered what was going on. He hand't experienced this before.

Once Featherstar saw her clan gather, she called forth her newest apprentices. "Gingerkit, Moonkit. Come forward please." She meowed. The leader patiently waited as the two young cats made their way toward her. "Gingerkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Gingerpaw. Your mentor will be Nightshade. I hope Nightshade will pass down all she knows on to you." She waited for them to greet each other.

"Oh I'd love to come watch!" The young kit mewed with excitement. He followed Nightshade to High Rock and sat beside her, making sure he wasn't too terribly obvious.

The young cat slunk into a crouch and followed the mother cat's scent. He was quite clumsy but tried his best to be quiet. He then scented another cat near by, one he was very unfamiliar with.

Moonkit burst out of the den as she heard Featherstar's calls and bounded over to High Rock. She sat, slightly panting, with her tail curled around her paws. She was curious for the meeting, and was hoping it was her ceremony. 6 long months since her arrival, and she was eager to become an apprentice. When she heard Featherstar call her forward, she made her way to the front of the clan and sat calmly next to Gingerkit.

Scarlet frowned slightly, hearing a twig snap behind her. She just keeps walking though, not wanting to tighten the kits. Of course the wind was blowing the wrong way for her, but maybe she will get lucky. Maybe. So, she just kept walking, leading her kits just pass the boarder for the clans. While Storm and Dawn were bickering about who knows what, Scarlet kept fully alert. She wouldn't allow her kits to get hurt!

Nightshade had just sat down, Flamekit rather close to her, before hearing her name being called. Her eyes widen slightly in surprise, yet she gets to her paws anyways. Gingerkit...? Well, Gingerpaw now but still. Weaving her way between the gather cats, she soon slips between the cats that were up front and into the open circle. Her black pelt gleamed in the sun, her blue gaze drifting towards the young she-cat that she was now in charge of. Perhaps mentoring wouldn't be that bad. She had two great mentors in her time, though the one she never wanted to see again and the other now dead. Either way, she had a lot to teach this young cat and hoped she was prepared. Moving forward, Nightshade now stood before the younger she-cat, waiting for the smaller cat to reach out first.

ClayTail nodded as the kit was given a mentor. He smiled to show his happiness for the new apprentice, his smile slightly lopsided due to a scar. He then turned his attention back to FeatherStar, watching her intently, wondering who would mentor the other cat. He knew the kits were probably excited about their new apprenticeships.

Waning frowned as another scent mixed with the cats'. "Is there a fourth cat around here?" He wondered aloud, looking around in slight worry. Was it some sort of loner attack? He doubted it, what queen would risk her kits like that. He cautiously padded towards the queen, keeping himself hidden as best he could.
