↣ The cold air in the room gave Sakuri second thoughts. Her heart began to drag around her chest when the announcement had ended. Her palms scraped the bed she was resting on as she continued to stare at the solo headset. Her face as pale, eyes wide but not amused. She almost looked bored. But her head was in a whole other world, confused, and terrified. With each movement slow and drawn out, she lifted her body slightly, just so she could grab the headset. For a moment, she kept the headset at her lap, staring at it in remorse. Is this what it had some to? Was there some way to back out? No, this was her choice, and her choice only. Quickly and briefly, she removed her hair out of its bun so that she could easily slip on the device. After a still pause, she turned her body, so that she was lying perfectly on the bedside. Eye shutting slowly, her heart pounded and her lips trembled out two hesitant words.
"Link start."

↣ A blur of white was the first thing to take away Sakuri's vision. Then a multicolored blur took away from the white when she realised she was no longer in reality. An unfamiliar sign made her stomach drop. 'Welcome to Death Battle Online!' Another grandiose blur, this time blue, corrupted her eyesight. A middling amount of seconds let her regain composure. It was still dark, surprisingly, until she realized her eyes were still being forced shut. When one eye popped open, an overwhelming fountain took into her view. The program had decided to spawn her next to a fountain. She huffed out, holding her hands in front of her view. From now, until I die... She thought, turning her head around, and clenching her fists. I am Aurora.

-Nanami stood up from the bed as she announcement was made. She paced back and forth around the small concrete room impatiently. She listened as Saliber spoke on the speaker. Everyone knew the risks of playing the game, death battle online. Once you died in the game that was it, the last person standing could get anything they wanted as a reward and Nanami knew what she wanted. She sighed, looking down at her hands to see that they were shaking. She sat on the bed, holding her hands in her lap trying to calm herself, everything was riding on this. Her winning the game.
- She had thought long and hard about how she would try to win, her strategy would be iron tight, once she had thought of one. Join a guild was her first thought, 'If I find one' she thought, 'although if I join a guild i would ultimately killing my companions, maybe not joining a guild and just going solo would be best after all.' She looked around the bare room, wondering what time it was and when the game would finally start. After what seemed like forever to Nanami she finally heard the clock and she placed the head set on, closing her eyes. She took a deep breath before whispering "Link start"
- All she could see was white before the picture became clear. She had been placed in the city in death battle online. Nanami felt her stomach drop as she finally realized her fate, die here and it's permanent. She slowly looked around, unsure of where in the city she was, small buildings stood on either side of her. She decided to investigate where she was. She slowly started to walk down the street.

Hiyakashi entered the room that would most likely become the place he would die. Yet he was smiling and almost seemed to be excited about doing this. He looked around the room and sighed at its blankness. "Man I wish they would've let me decorate this room or something! It's too boring in here." He raised his voice thinking that maybe the nurse that would be with him would hear him and maybe she would decorate it for him. If not just a tiny bit. When the announcement came on he gave a grin and sat down on the bed. He looked at the head piece as soon as it ended. "No going back. This will be my chance to have some fun and maybe win. " He whispered to himself. Before he put the thing on he reached into his pocket of his coat and pulled out a picture and a small piece of paper. He looked at the picture for a moment before he set it next to him. Hiyakashi then grabbed the headset and laid down. He grabbed the picture again and set it next to his head. He gave one last look at the picture. He would remember the picture, most of all he would remember her. He gave a small smile before putting the headset on. The last thing he saw was the picture. The picture of Jessica the say he proposed to her. 'I remember that day... We were out camping in the mountains. Which was Jessica's favorite. I proposed to her at night, by the fire, right after a shooting star passed over. Jessica wished on the star first. Her wish was to have a happy future with the one she loved the most. After that she asked me for my wish and I had told her that my wish would be for us to get married. Ha I remember pulling out the little box and opening it in front of her. She looked so happy when she said yes and I put the ring on. A while after that I caught her admiring the ring and I snapped a picture of her looking at her ring. It was such a wonderful day...' He brought himself out of that memory. He was staring at the blackness of the headset. He breathed in, "I'll see you soon my love... but not before having some fun."He whispered with a slight laugh.

"Link Start." He spoke firmly and clearly. His vision started to be filled with colors. First it was just white and it made Hiro feel a little sick to his stomach. Then bursts of multiple colors flashed in. Finally the colors began to make shapes and the shapes turned into buildings and trees. After blinking a few time Hiro could see everything clearly. He looked around to take in his surroundings. He was around the outskirts of a town. If he looked left he saw more buildings, to his right he saw grass and trees. Hiro had to come up with a plan. "Hmmmm... what to do first? The town might be crawling with people who want to get their first kills. However this is where I could meet some allies. A team will definitely help in the beginning. Hmmmm choices." He spoke to himself as his ran his fingers through his new hair. It was the same color, but a different style, and length. His blue eyes looked over the place. He gave a shrug and a small smile. "What's life without a little bit of risk?" He asked himself as he started walking into the town area.

Asher say on the edge of the bed with his feet on the ground and his hand gripping the bed. His eye were on the ground as thoughts raced through his mind. He would be participating in a game he most likely wouldn't be coming back from. He had already accepted the fact that he would die he just hopes he would last longer that he thought.

He didnt really have a plan fir when he started, he just needed to focus on getting to a safe zone where he would hopefully be able to gear up and get a weapon, if he didn't start with one. That would be his main plan of action and after that he will probably find someone to join a party with.

He looked over at the head piece and stared at it before reaching a shaky hand out to grab it. He moved his legs on to the bed and stared at the headset in his hands. He hesitated before slipping it on his head comfortably then laid down on the bed.

It took him a moment before he saying "link start" in a shaky and quiet voice and his vision was flooded white then colors were taking over the white and before he knew it he was in the new game with the words 'death battle online' displaid in front of him. His stomach dropped and he looked down at himself and his hands to examine what he was wearing.

Hopefully he was safe here, and he didn't see many others so maybe he could take advantage of this and go get a headstart. He moved an arm to his back and felt a sword, pulling it from the holder on his back he saw it was a rather poor sword but could work, he slid it back in its holder on his back. Then opening up his menu he went through his items, searching for a Particular book. And there he saw it, a book full of spells for when he was fighting and used to restore health and protect himself bit of course he wasn't as experienced to use certain spells yet, he would have to practice.

Closing his menu he looked around and rushed off to see where he could buy potions and weapons and such. Again he would need to practice potion mixing and making so he would need a book for that as well.

↣ Aurora had already stepped into the first inn that she saw. Inside was a cozy wooden diner, complete with festive music and a small bustling crowd. The details that went into the npcs was outrageous. She felt as if all these people were real. The thought of it was creepy. Normally the npcs would just be the people working. After a moment of pause, she takes a seat in the back corner of the diner. A woman walks up to her and before she can even speak Aurora pipes out, "Just a stew."

↣ As she sat, she had an idea to look through her inventory. Her first thought, the second she got into the game, was to conduct a plan. Many people would either immediately join a guild or blatantly fight. Those were the first to go. As her menu pops up, she begins meddling through. Simple items, the outfit she was currently wearing, a weakly armored skirt and top. Her hair, was oddly a part of her chosen outfit, and she had chosen the option of having it braided compared to the other non-braided option. An axe, and a small amount of cor, were the only other items her inventory. Coincidentally, cor was the same currency as SAO, and they didn't bother to change that. A plan began moldling in her head. I can easily upgrade my skills and weaponry, so the best route is to practice and earn money, simple. A scowl forms on her face. But I can't go around fighting willy-nilly. The woman returns with her soup, and Aurora sticks the wooden spoon deep into the bowl and into her mouth. The warm soup lightens her spirits. I guess I'll have to form some sort of party.
