(Sorry for being gone so long been busy with horse, school, job etc)

Snow tore off a few more pieces of the deer before retiring to her bed and letting the rest of the pack eat she watched as Death made a fool of himself looking out into the distance with his lovestruck eyes . "Hey Death are you thinking about Flash again" she said chuckling with a wolfish smile and a glint in her eye.

Death padded over to the door with a rumbling stomach and a tired expression on his face tearing a small portion for himself and making sure to leave plenty for his love and soon to be mate Flash he said as his eyes light up like a pup at play. He imagined him and Flash happy and Flash finally not being such a grump to him he couldn't help himself she was beautiful. His fantasy ended by Snow's snide remark. He began blushing and stuttered "n n n no Snow what are y y you t t talking about" he nervously laughed with a half smile and a red face.

Having taken her fill of the carcass and now contently stuffed, the winged wolf yawned softly and gave a great stretch, releasing all of the built up tension in her muscles from the day, then slowly eased herself to the cave floor and rested her chin on her right forepaw. Strangely enough, the day has seemed very long and tiresome, though not much had occurred. Perhaps she was stressed- stress could make anyone exhausted. Whatever the cause for her sudden lack of energy, she allowed herself to rest for a few minutes, simply listening to her pack mates as they moved around and ate at their own leisures. Before she knew it, her eyelids grew heavy and she was slowly sinking into the warm embrace of slumber. Suddenly, a far off and distant voice that she could barely recognize as Snow's rang out in the darkness, muttering something about Death and his thoughts. Death's voice, growing steadily louder as Flash quickly came back to consciousness, stuttered in reply, right before the beta female opened her eyes and cocked a brow at the male, whom she had unknowingly fallen asleep looking at. She vaguely recalled hearing her name, but couldn't remember what had been said exactly.

Deeming their conversation unimportant, she lifted her head and yawned again, then flicked her ears to Winter's excited comment. She internally groaned, feeling quite tired and wanting nothing more than to curl up in her den and sleep, but the pups could not venture that far out without an adult, especially not when traces of humans had been picked up along the borders earlier. "You two shouldn't be straying that far from the cave without supervision," the beta insisted protectively. She turned to look at the cave's entrance- it wasn't late. The sun was just now setting, but they could make it there and back, just for a peek. "If you really want to go, I can take you. Otherwise, I'd say wait 'til tomorrow."

The minute the idea of going to play with Flame came to mind, Winter immediately began thinking over all the games they could play- Hide'n'Seek, tag, leap frog, mock fighting, Hunter and Prey (a combination of tag and Hide'n'Seek), or some made up game. Feeling his excitement slowly rising, he ate as quickly as he could and messily cleaned up his muzzle before jumping around and turning to Flame. She suggested going to see the borders, which he obviously thought would be cool- he'd never been that far out before. "Okay, let's go!!" Before Winter could take two steps towards the cave entrance, Flash had stopped him, reminding him they couldn't go that far away without a grown up to watch them. She offered to go, but he could hear how tired Flash sounded, so he awkwardly turned to Flame, hoping she'd answer. "Well..."

{Is it weird that I check CS everyday? I check my subscribed forums EVERYDAY. Oh well, I can't be the only member on CS who does that, right? On a side note, should I put color into Flame's POV?}

She paused when Winter turned to her. "Um..." Flame sat back down on her haunches. "The borders can wait until tomorrow, right? It's not like they're going to grow paws and walk away. I guess Winter and I can play around camp. That way, you don't have to watch us since my parents are here."

Thankful she didn't have to leave, the beta sighed faintly and nodded to the two pups, approving of their plans. "Go ahead and run along then." Those words didn't really need to be said, for Winter was already marching out of the cave before she even opened her mouth. "Hmm." She scoffed in amusement, then turned her silver gaze back to Death and Snow. "I dozed off a bit while you two were talking, but I think I heard my name. Did you have something you need to discuss with me? " The beta inquiried with a curious tilt of her head. She noted that Death seemed a bit flustered though, and Snow had a teasing smirk on her face, suddenly causing the winged wolf to wonder if she shouldn't have asked what they were talking about. Oh well, too late now.

He was a bit disappointed to hear they would have to wait until tomorrow to see the borders, but, he figured, as long as he got to spend time with Flame today, it didn't really matter. Happy to have Flahs's approval, he excitedly barked, "Sounds good! NOW let's go!" then wheeled on his toes and bolted out of the cave entrance. "Race ya to the bottom!" He called as he began his cautious decent down the rocky slope, towards the camp. The slope wasn't too steep, but one false step, and it could send him tumbling down to the base, his head smacking against sharp rocks the whole way, so he needed to watch his step. Once they did get to the bottom, he'd ask her what they would do first.

Flame~
Flame pouted momentarily at Winter's head start, but padded up to the ledge confidently. She yipped to the other pup, "Are you sure you'll win?" She quickly morphed some wings on her back suited for gliding and sailed down, passing Winter. She gave him a "I've got this!" look and landed at the bottom unharmed and triumphant. "Beat you, Winter!" Flame said, her tail wagging as her wings promptly disappeared.

It seemed Winter was so excited about going to play that he forgot Flame could morph wings. He was nearly at the bottom when he felt a whoosh of air passing above his head, causing the pup to curiously look up. "Huh?" The tip of Flame's tail brushed his nose as she swiftly glided to the bottom and landed gracefully ahead of him. "Awww..." The pup pouted, but in his distraction, he had misplaced his foot and tripped over a rock. He yelped in alarm and tumbled down the rest of the way, but the distance was a short one since he didn't have very far to go, so he plopped in the dust next to Flame unharmed. Winter sat up and shook the dirt from his fur. "I forgot you could do that..." He mumbled with embarrassment, watching his forepaw kicking the dirt, though his pride wasn't wounded for long before he perked up and looked to his playmate with a wagging tail and lolling tongue. "So what should we do first?"

She sat down, contemplating all the possibilities. After a few moments, Flame perked up and exclaimed, "We can play Hunter and Prey (reminds me of cat and mouse)!" She picked up and stick and scratched one end to a slant, so it was kind of sharp but it had a distinct difference from the other end. Flame threw the stick into the air and watched the pointed end, which pointed to her when it landed. "I guess I'm prey," She said, tensing to run away and hide. "No powers, kay?" she mentioned to Winter.
