Caitlyn listened to Jack and Reta quietly for a moment before raising a brow in interest. "A missing staff, huh? Well my pal here might be able to sniff out its location for ya. She's pretty good and finding my hockey stick whenever it goes missing so maybe she can find that staff too," she hummed as she gestured toward Callie. The dog looked up at her owner for a moment before rising to her paws again and wagging her tail slightly. The teen was confident that if her pet could get familiar with the scent she'd be able to lead them right to the staff with ease. She had always done it back home for Caitlyn whenever she had her stick knocked away from her in battle or if it was stolen in the middle of the night.

"Pretty much. It's ok. Sometimes I wish I could be alone for one second but I enjoy the competitions and being accepted for who I am. Plus, I'm not attacked every day so bonus." Shalyn said. She did miss camp, especially the people from Athena's camp and others from hers.

Jack looked to the sky for a brief moment then turned back to the girl. "If I had my staff I could show you how powerful I really am." He held his hands out and froze a few of the water droplets. "I helped save the world once. From darkness. It's not much but hey, better than nothing right?" He glared at the frozen water that had dropped to the ground. "I'm not really powerful without my staff. I can only do little tricks until I find it." He sighed and flopped down onto the sand, shielding his eyes with his arm.

Saurka smiled a little and said "Darkness isn't the same as a demon overlord who literally eats people"

"Sure... I've also dealt with a toddler who likes to blow things up" she countered, darkness wasn't actually that bad and she somewhat like the silence that came with it.

Caitlyn quirked a brow as she listened to the three talk about they had been up against. "And I had to deal with mutated animals that were mind controlled by a freak named Porky who traveled through time to take over Nowhere Islands to make into his own kingdom. Not to mention he brainwashed nearly the entire population and turned them into soldiers and their commander just so happened to be the twin brother of the kid I was protecting so we could save the world. But that doesn't matter. We all went through out hardships," she mumbled, figuring that they wouldn't pay much attention to her in the first place. Her eyes flickered to Reta for a moment when she agreed that it would be a good idea for Callie to search for the staff and a small smirk crossed her lips. The girl gave a look to her dog and the creature approached Jack for a moment to sniff him. She let out a sharp back after a moment before she took off down the beach in search of the guardian's weapon. "Well we can either stay here and wait for her to return or we can follow. Your choice."
