Waspclaw felt his ears warm up as she offered to share a meal with him. "Sure, Fawnleap." He meowed, almost gently, as if normally his cold tone would hurt her. "Would you like to choose?" Waspclaw asked, standing up and leading Fawnleap over to the fresh-kill pile.

The she-cat burst through the camp entrance and a moment later realized how loud she had been. Swallowpaw guiltily licked her white chest fur and meowed to Fallenpaw,"Thanks for... y-you know, coming out with me today."

"So a simply remedy of marigold and cobwebs should do the trick for you." Softberry gazed at the cut eat and sighed. "You'll be an idol for the apprentices. You'll never hear one not say 'I want a nicked ear'! Worries mothers sick." The thick furred molly purred. "Even I myself think that it's a sign of a great, modest warrior - one who has no scars or cuts isn't a true fighter."

"I think I'm-" The she-cat broke off in a yawn. "I think I'm going to head off to bed." She ducked her head shyly. "I'll see you tomorrow." And with that, Swallowpaw was gone in search of sleep.

"Why thank you kind gentlecat," the brown she-cat teased before scanning through the fresh-kill pile. A dainty robin hidden behind two mice caught her eye. "Oh my favorite!" she purred excitedly as she slunk around the small pile to pluck the bird from the ground. "I hope you like robins, Waspclaw." Smiling through a bundle of robin feathers, Fawnleap led the stoic warrior into the shade of a boulder to enjoy their prey together as the sun sank below the horizon. Oranges and pink hues cascaded across the desert, lighting up the oasis as cats returned from final patrols or hunts.

I hold my tail up high in the air. "I swear I won't tell a soul the words about to leave your muzzle." I take a seat, leaning in closer so no cat will here. My tail flicks impatiently behind me.

I watch as the group disperses. I lean over to Scorchstar, whispering in his ear. "You made the right choice Scorchstar. I knew you would." And with that, I walk over to a shady spot, curl up, and start grooming my fur.

Though the tom's favorite prey was a simple mouse, he couldn't help but smile. Fawnleap looked so delighted when finding the robin it momentarily made his heart melt. "I do, but it seems to me you like them the most." Waspclaw followed Fawnleap and sat down across from her. "Look at the sky. How it melts into those colors. It's fascinating, isn't it?"

Fawnleap chuckled in embarrassment as she nodded at Waspclaw. "You've got that right," she flushed, ears turning pink as she stared down at her paws. However, as Waspclaw spoke of the sunset, she couldn't help but look up in awe. "It's beautiful," she murmured breathlessly. Her green eyes widened as she gazed at the shades of pinks and oranges that adorned the sky. "What's even more exciting is that our starry ancestors will become visible soon," she whispered thinking fondly of her father, Sparrowflight.
