Liam

Liam turned at the sound of a familiar voice. He turned to April and nodded hello. "Hi, April. Anyone sick today?" He commented as he stoked the head of one of the goats, his fingers wrapping around her horns. "Hello, Britches," he murmered to the goat, her black stripes down her back like blur lines.

april sighed. "nope." she said softly. she watched as he cared for the goats.. it always made her smile knowing how much he loved the animals. "so, are they doing good? the animals?" she said not knowing how else to continue the conversation.

Liam

Liam nodded, looking over the livestock. "Yeah, I think so... Oak, that white and red goat? Still has a cough, so I don't know is she'll actually survive another week. And, one of he sheep are missing, I think she escaped, but there are 3 new lambs and 2 new goats." He looked back at her, still stroking the younger goats head. "Well, it's good that no one is sick, right?"

april nodded glad to hear that most of them were doing alright. she smiled "of course, that's great! I just want something to do.. do you need anything? I'll be more then glad to help."

Liam

"Some help would be great," he said, hopping off the fence. "There's some dried grasses in the shed over there... Can you help me get some?" Liam turned to the shed, sliding on a pair of worn leather gloves that were falling apart at the seams. He made them himself, and he had an extra pair hooked to his belt loop. "Sometimes, the grass has burrs. Do you want a pair of gloves?" Before he pulled on his left glove, he ran a hand through his hair and sighed. He didn't like the fact that his 'babies' would always be sent for slaughter. He was literally sending the lambs to slaughter. After the 4 legged animals were done, he had to feed the chickens, water the pigs, and toss the excess food from yesterday, split between the pigs and chickens.

april smiled. "awesome, I'd love to." she said cheerfully. she doze off for a second but quickly snapped back. "sure, I'll have a pair." april looked around and noticed a few goats heading into the slaughter house. she rolled her eyes and sighed. "poor things" she murmured.

Liam

Liam followed April's gaze to the two goats being led into the large building that reeked of blood. "Yeah... I wish that we didn't have to kill them," he said, handing the pair of soft leather gloves to the med jack. "C'mon, at least we can feed the living ones, right?"

april nodded. "yup.." she said in a sad tone. she grabbed the leather gloves and slipped them onto her soft hands, then plopped her hands right on her ears so she wouldn't have to hear the noise of the poor goats in the slaughter house. it only took a few seconds before it was over. she slowly removed her hands from her ears and rolled her eyes. "that's true.."

Liam

Liam watched as the shorter girl clapped her hands over her ears. When she removed them, he murmered, "You get used to it... Let's go. The animals will eat your shirt off your back if we don't feed them soon." He didn't mean for it to sound awkward, but once it was out of his mouth, he blush a deep crimson, and looked down, walking to the feed shed.

april took a deep sigh and nodded. a slight frown sprouted across her face. she looked up at liam "so, you really love these animals huh?.. sometimes I wonder if I had a pet back home. like a dog or something." she said a soft smile replacing the frown.
