What swim team do you guys all swim for?

I won't specify my actual team or club (that's too personal on a public site like CS) but my club's registered with USA Swimming. (My dad said he would pay for club after he saw how great my practicing was yesterday! 8D ) My team is for my private school, but since my state/school does swimming weird, I'm kind of in the same group as other private schools in this area. But we compete against each other. It's weird. I don't know what it's like where you guys live, but where I am it's more competing for your best time so you can qualify for the next competition, not really beating another team. But I'm still new to this. So I have no idea. XD

Ello Sola! (At first I thought the heading said bathing instead of boating and I was like well that's water so... XD)

What you currently do: Sailing
What you have done: Swim team as well! And swimming for fun.
What you want to do: continue sailing!
What got you into it: I moved to New England and took a sailing camp. Now I help teach kids to sail.
Advice you'd give to people interested in the same sport(s): Go for it, it's epic!

Favorite parts: Sailing on nice windy days, and, believe it or not, rigging up! Always good to practice.
Least favorite parts: Sitting dead in the water with no wind, and capsize recoveries.
What do you want to discuss the most on this thread? What interests you best?: I'm cool with whatever anyone wants to talk about!

Hahaha hey LOCW! XD Welcome to the competitive bathing club water sports club! I almost took sailing this month but I decided against it because I'm so busy, and I'd rather do other things. The program here is really great (and cheap), though, so maybe for winter or spring break I'll try it. c:

It's a ton of fun! But only when it's windy. If it isn't you sit in a hot boat getting sun burned going nowhere! But yeah it's great!

Oh, I swam outside this summer (for long course we always swim outside) and within the first day I was tanned from head to toe.
