Imaginary friends are one of our greatest childhood memories - but they're short-lived. We think they just come for a while, until we've decided we're too old for such childish ideas and abandon them. And just like that, boom. They're gone, they've vanished, and are no longer existent...
...Or so we think.
Actually, they're always there, and have grown up with us. They've never left, they've just become so irrelevant in our lives, that we don't even notice them. They're essentially like nothing but thin air, waiting for the moment when we'll notice them once more - well, as long as they can wait, anyway.
Like anyone else, imaginary friends have "expiration dates," so to speak.
If we ignore them for too long, they really do cease to exist, without a trace or anything left behind, with nothing but our memories of them from our childhood days.
But one day, you bump into someone - and not just anyone, but someone who looks vaguely familiar. Unable to identify the person despite the similar face, you determine they must just be someone you had met a long time ago and had forgotten about, or just someone who looks like that person. This is why, when you're told they are your imaginary friend - that has somehow become a human, you can't believe it - and, perhaps, are even in denial, at first.
But the person proves they are truly your imaginary friend, and explains that they desperately need help. Their expiration date is coming soon, and if their human friend doesn't accept them back into their life, they will perish like so many other forgotten imaginary friends. So, will you help and save her old friend? Or will you just let them vanish? And if you save them, will something more later become of their friendship? Only time will tell...

"Well, uh. Meet me, and you'll find out pretty quick, aha." Luke is, at first, at bit shy and pretty awkward, socially. He's not much of a talker, as he's generally more of a listener - except for when he's vlogging, of course, but he's usually alone and pretty comfortable when he's doing that, so he is able to talk quite a bit more. When you get to know him, however, he is fun, silly, and pretty much always seems to be happy and in a good mood. Sometimes, he's still a bit awkward, and can be rather dorky, but usually, he's not as much so when he's comfortable around you. In addition, he also becomes quite a bit more talkative when he's comfortable around certain people. He may look a tad bit intimidating with his height and whatnot, but he's actually a very friendly, cuddly guy that just likes making people smile. He's extremely loyal, a well as protective of people he loves and cares about. He's clever and sometimes can be witty, but usually, he doesn't think he's that humorous.

Luke's history is...different. See, people are born with parents, obviously. Luke? Nope. In fact, he's just a figment of a girl's imagination - at least, he started out that way. He wasn't really sure how it happened - one moment, he didn't exist, and the next...well, there he was, a (Age)-year-old boy looking around, confused, as he found himself somewhere all alone. It was a park, and he stood on the sidewalk next to a practically empty street. Suddenly, there was a strong gust of wind and a voice spoke to him - who or where it came from, he wasn't sure. This voice explained that there was someone who had created him - he was their new imaginary friend. He was not able to be seen by anyone else, because he "wasn't real," according to other people. The voice also explained to him that there was something very important...he only had a certain amount of time if the person who imagined him stopped believing in him. It was crucial that he kept this in mind so that he didn't end up disappearing later down the road, something that was not an uncommon fate for imaginary friends. Terrified by this new information, he tried to ask the voice a question. Before he could, however, he saw a bright light. The next thing he knew, he was standing in front of a little girl the same age, who looked like she was just looking for a friend. He became that friend - when she was sad or lonely, they seemed to do everything together - they laughed, cried, played, and all the rest. He was always there for her when she needed it. Surely, he thought, he'd never be at risk of facing the fate he had been warned of. They were so close, she'd never let that happen, he was convinced. But then there came that one dreadful day...things quickly began to change. (Name) began to grow distant from him. At first, he thought maybe he had done something to hurt or upset her, and tried to figure it all out...but as time went on, he noticed something. She wasn't mad at him, or upset at him...she was just becoming less and less aware of his very existence. By the time she was a bit older, well...she had completely grown out of him, leaving him to sit there, alone, not sure what to do. It was devastating to him - how could she have forgotten about him? After everything that had happened those past several years, he turned out to be nothing to her ever since a young age - at least, that's what it came across to him as. He began to shut down, becoming more quiet and reserved - not that she'd notice, he thought. So, here he had been ever since, silently begging for her to suddenly remember him again, but just waiting for the thing he dreaded most to happen - to once again cease to exist. Be nothingness, forgotten by the person he used to think would never lead him to such a fate. But more than that, he was upset that he'd lost his best friend - his only friend, really, since no one else could see, nor hear, him. Little did he know that things were about to get interesting...he was about to become a human, and get a second chance to change his fate - if he can convince her to believe in him once more...

As stated before, Luke is a bit on the quiet and awkward side. But, once one gets to know him, he can just be goofy. He's also very interested and talented in music - that's basically his passion, and he's willing to work as hard as he has to, in order to follow his dream of some day making it as a famous musician. He doesn't just sing and play instruments, but he also writes music. Luke also loves animals and horrible puns. He can be considered a hazard to himself on occasion, as he's also a bit of a klutz from time to time. Oftentimes, it's said that he's notorious for losing things.

Ruby is very sweet and caring, and when she was someone's imaginary friend she fell in love with it. She loved playing with him, and now that she's been forgotten she wants nothing more than to be back with her best friend. She would do anything. When she was little, she was a little bit of a princess, but as she grew up she became less so, as her friends wants changed. Now, she is an activist of sorts for imaginary friends. She believes that they are more or less the same as normal people, and it isn't fair that some people think that they're totally different. In her mind, she's a normal person.

as his once best friend forgot about him, the nagging fear nagging at him that
he would disappear making his personality almost do a 180 as he was stuck in
his own little bubble. but one day he was given a chance to go meet {name}
as a human, and holding onto the hope that they'd once again believe in him
he took the chance to become a human and hope they would believe so he
wouldn't cease to exist
