As I've been going through the Fairy Tail episodes (I've watched one of the more recent episodes right after a newer episode) I've noticed that they take forever to get through one arc is because now each episode has SEVERAL minutes dedicated to just reusing stuff from the previous episode and when they come back from commercial break it's a good two minutes gone while they use the exact same two minutes from right before the break. It's really annoying in my opinion that they do this. I don't mind a short recap (you know before the opening song or whatever) but when it's all added up, it takes up almost a third of each episode of simply re-watching what happened last episode and if anyone marathons (I think almost everyone does) then we don't need those recaps. Even with a week separation, we don't need practically 8 minutes copied from the previous show.

On the topic of character development, I feel that Fairy Tail isn't focused on showing the growth and development of the characters so much as putting them through trials for the heck of it. Sure, they do get stronger and their bonds become deeper (very slowly) but I feel that the main point of the long anime is to give people something to watch. If the author has all these ideas for the characters to experience, then he'll want to write it. Half because the audience wants to see more Fairy Tail and the other half because they love what they do; creating characters and dilemmas but also a few filler episodes where all anyone does is mess around. If I was the author, I would keep writing until I had no more ideas, even if nobody was interested because it's something that I love.

if your asking for animes similar to fairy tail, i think one
piece is quite similar. and since some things in fairy tailx
were inspired from one piece, i think that's the best choice.

and on the topic of opinions on fairy tail, i enjoyed the
first season far more than the second. although i dropped
it for a bit just from the amount of episodes where noth
ing happened. it began to bore me and some of the thin

There is some good character development in Fairy Tail. Laxus? Gajeel? I think they're both great examples. I do agree Fairy Tail can be slow though. Recaps in that and One Piece are HORRIBLE

before i make my point, i just want to say that i have not watched all of the episodes of fairy tail. although i agree that laxus and gajeel are some great examples of character development in fairy tail, i feel as if they are the only ones with actual development. what about the main characters? gray? erza? lucy? and natsu? i really can't tell if they've changed from episode 1. and what about the whole thing with igneel? i feel like the author has totally scrapped that idea. overall, fairy tail was entertaining to watch, but over time, i got really frustrated & lost interest because the mc barely looses & the lack of character development

The thing with Igneel does come back to light, and gets more attention, but it's REALLY far down the road. I'm re-watching Fairy Tail while I'm waiting for more updates of the current arcs and I can see differences between each person at the start versus now. I love Gajeel's development as well as Laxus' but there are others that are prominent later on like Wendy's or Cana's

it's interesting that the characters & main plot develop more later in the series, which adds to the fact that fairy tail is pretty slow. and that's probably why i dropped it. most shounen manga/anime tend to have a main focus/goal, for example, in naruto, the mc's goal is to become hokage, and in one piece, luffy wants to become the pirate king. the same thing happens with fairy tail, but unlike typical shounen anime/manga, the plot sidetracks in the beginning, and later focuses on the main plot. fairy tail is too slow-paced for my liking.

also, it annoys me when natsu/ barely loses in a 1 vs 1 battle. it's no fun if the protagonist is one of the strongest people in the beginning of the series, and even if he does lose [like the 1 vs 1 w/gildarts], it is immediately forgotten. *spoiler alert* and when they do get stronger, it's done instantly. in the 7 year timeskip, they just got new powers, abilities, etc. *spoiler alert* i like seeing the protagonists learning & growing along with the series, like in one piece and naruto, in which both mcs begin with average abilities.

although fairy tail isnt precisely my cup of tea, i can respect it and the people who enjoyed the series as well, and i do admit that fairy tail it's heartwarming & tearjerking moments

I went to the library got some manga's. The read the 4th Card Captor Sakura book. Loved it. I used to watch it but stopped on the third episode because it freaked me out. (I get scared easily.) But now, Im on episode 17.

I need help remembering the name of an anime. I watched like 1 episode once, and all I remember is that it's a kid with a monster thingy for a friend, the kid hunts demon/monsters and in the first episode, one monster destroys his house

Hey guys I found a really good site to watch anime its called Kiss Anime and its good quality with no annoying pop up ads, also there are tons of shows on there (both sub + dub, also movies and special episodes).

I just finished watching Ouran High School Host club, would you guys have any suggestions of similar anime that I might enjoy? Anything with good female characters would be nice also c;
