Yay, new club members! *squeaks*
I've needed a new battery for my Mac for a while, but the batteries are $300 for my model, so I decided to spend an extra bit of money and invest in a new PC laptop instead. My Mac was 5 years old and I've wanted a gaming computer for a while, so this was the best option for me. It runs League so smoothly, and I'm really pleased! ^u^ It's so weird when your graphic settings go from Very Low to Medium High, and anyone with a Mac knows that the client is pretty horrible at best. Granted, I'm glad that they bothered to have a Mac client, but half of the time you'd lag in the middle of a teamfight because there was too much going on for your Mac to handle and you'd end up dead.
That being said, once I get used to the button layout of this new laptop, I'm going to play a lot of ranked and hopefully make it to Challenger Platinum. I did something super embarrassing the other day, though; I was playing an inhouse with some friends, and the manager of a Challenger team happened to be playing with us. We're casually walking through the jungle (I'm Janna, he's Kha'zix) and my new keys are really sensitive compared to my old ones, so while moving my wrist I managed to ult for no reason. 30 seconds later we went into a 2v2 and lost, probably because I didn't have my ult. Talk about good first impressions x_x
I've still got a ways to go, and I've been spending a lot more time playing mid-lane mage champions because I've heard that support mains have the hardest time climbing. One of my good friends is Diamond and mains Thresh; another is Diamond and mains whatever is currently broken. There's definitely a difference in both skillset and how many games it took them to get their ranks x3
