Firepelt stood at the entrance of the leader's den, his fire colored pelt shaded darker as black and green mist swirled around him. The only cat who could see him right now was Redstar. He let out a laugh and looked at Partridgepaw, menace glistening in his eyes.

Redstar stiffened in horror as he saw his uncle. A gasp caught in his throat and his heart beat even faster. The dark forest leader was standing at the entrance of the den. He saw the warrior's gaze land on Partridgepaw. "No, no, no!" He cried, standing up and leaping forward. "You will leave her alone!" He bowled over the tom, but before Redstar could try to kill him again, the tom disappeared into the air. "No! You coward! Get back here and fight me. You will not destroy my family, never!" He didn't realize that he was now standing outside his den, shouting at the sky. He didn't care what the other cats thought. "I will kill you; you can count on that!" His eyes were full of hate, fear, and fury. He stood his ground, staring up at the darkening sky. He didn't shift his gaze as he slowly backed away from where he was standing. His fur was fluffed and growls and snarls were rising in his throat.

Darkpaw looked up at his leader worriedly after hearing the yowls from the tom's den. He dashed up, worried that Raptorfang had returned to kill Redstar. "Redstar!" he yowled, racing into the den with unsheathed claws.

FLightpaw was right behind her friend.

Fiercesand

She slowly walked through the woods and then heard twigs cracking. She turned towards the noise, her ears twitching. Then it came out of nowhere. Claws scraped Fiercesand's shoulder, a horrible yowl came from the attacker. Fiercesand couldn't even see the cat's face, since it was night. Fiercesand clawed at the cat's face and tried to get it off of her, but it was too strong. Then...
"I told you to leave!" a familiar voice came out of the cat's mouth.
"J---" Fiercesand almost said when the cat held up one claw to it's mouth.
"Shhhh," it said, "Don't. I'm not him anymore. Leave."
The cat got off of her, "Leave! Leave Risingclan! They are dangerous!"
Fiercesand shook her head, "What are you talking about?"
The tom frowned, "They are dangerous! Why can't you see that?"
But then he looked away, "I'm dangerous..."
And then he was gone.

Flightpaw blinked repeatedly as she became dizzy, the world swirling around her. Blackness clouded her vision and she saw a flash of claws. The blackness faded and the dizziness dissipated. Confused, Flightpaw looked around. The whole ordeal had taken no more than half a second. She wondered if Redstar had seen her falter.

Redstar looked over at Flightpaw, who was standing near her. For some reason she stumbled a bit, and he wondered why. Immediately he felt a Starclan cat writhing around him. He continued to gaze at Flightpaw. He couldn't seem to pull his gaze away.

Goldenwind walked around her grandson. She made him focus his gaze on Flightpaw. She purred near his ear before saying these words, her voice soothing and sweet. But her voice had a big of a mysterious tone to it.

"An evil cat is among the Clan.
They will try to destroy everything in their path.
4 cats from within the Clan
Shall have the power of destiny.
The muscled bear, the elegant song, and the graceful flight will band together
And at the panther's last cry
The clan will be free once more."

Then she was gone.

Redstar shook his head vigorously, finally looking away from Flightpaw. His grandmother's words rang in his ear. An evil cat. Try to destroy everything. 4 cats have the power of destiny. The bear, the song, and the flight. The panther's last cry. The clan will be free. A prophecy! The realization struck him like lightning, causing him to stumble backward. Firepelt must have a part in this, he thought.

Pantherclaw sat by the camp entrance grooming a paw. He looked up at the commotion, shrugged, then continued grooming. This kind of drama didn't concern him. It was the fighting he was interested in. He had to fight for Rootpaw. Rootpaw died to make sure Pantherclaw succeeded. He couldn't let his brother down.
