Killian merely rolled his eyes at Kit, walking back over to the opposing side of the deck where he threw a large fishing net over the side of the boat. "Just because you fooled one of them doesn't mea you'll fool all of them. Don't underestimate them mate; you need to take all things into accountability.The man said with a sigh as he idd the net to the railing of the vessel. He hummed softly as he did so, already beginning to tire of his job for he day. Most of the time all Killian did was stay on the ship and do nothing. The only hard part about catching a mermaid was its tail and making sure that it didn't call for backup; which apparently some fisherman had forgotten to do. As he looked up from where he was, he could see a mermaid thrashing about in a net whilst the men on the boat tried to pull her into the boat, only to be let down when a merman swam up and cut the net loose. Amateurs. Killian thought to himself as he rolled his eyes again.

Finnegan froze slightly, a bit stunned at how the other merman had spotted him, but he knew i was probably because of his orange tail. He slowly drifted away from the reef before answering the other merman's question, "You're not going to attack me, are you?" Finn asked, glancing down at Caleb's hands to see if he was holding any sort of weapon. All he could see was a starfish that the man had set down and a bottom feeder slowly moving along his arm. "Sorry, I mean... Everything's been really wild lately with all of the land walkers going out and trying to catch us." Finn shrugged slightly, circling Caleb quickly. "You're pretty much the only other merperson I've seen in like... forever."

She swallowed and ran a shaking hand through her hair. She glanced around before she focused a bit on her then down again. It was a constant flicker in between the ocean floor and the other mermaid. "I'm really sorry!" She exclaimed before swimming off fast, her tail swiftly propelling her forwards as she panicked. Please don't follow! Please I don't want to get chased by my own kind let alone hunters as well! Chelsia thought as she kept swimming back to where she had came from. When she made it closer to the coral reefs she slowed some but not enough to see the net that had just been set from the ship where the dark haired daine quickly got tangled in it. She swirled and squirmed already frazzled as she tugged to get free. "No! Let go!" She strained more only getting more wrapped in it.

Gus turned around and rubbed against Phi happily. "Come on Gus. Let's go find some human stuff." Phi said softly. She had always had a fascination with human stuff, which is why she wore the human locket around her neck. She turned around and was about to swim off towards a ship wreck she knew of when she saw Tate. A soft blush rose to her cheeks as she realized he had seen her acting so childish. "Uh, hello." She said softly, bitting her bottom lip nervously.

Lynn watched him with a raised eyebrow, what was he doing? He noticed him putting weird objects on something that was floating before pushing it toward the merman. He remained still before approaching the weird hing. He examines it for a few seconds before sniffing it, he poked a piece of the sushi. He wasn't sure what the two sticks were for though, maybe decoration. He picked up a piece of the raw fish before sticki it in his mouth, eating it before swallowing it. It was fish! He was quite happy continuing to eat before noticing the sauce, he dipped his finger in slightly before licking it. He recoiled a bit before trying it again, it had a weird flavor though t wasn't horrible. Soon enough he finished off the sushi before glancing at the male once more, pushing the plate back as he swam closer. His guy wasn't trying to kill him and even offered food, maybe humans weren't dangerous?

kidd simply reached over the side of the boat to take the floating item out of the salt water, then simply asking " do you want any more?" to the young man in the water, obviously having no intent to hurt him. " i have a lot of fish here, i can make some more." he murmured as he pulled a scratchy knit sweater on. he was rather cold, and couldnt swim very well so he figured this would be a good course of action. " or anything else, if you want it.''

" why would i attack you? i don't attack my own kind" he did however have a tendancy to drown humans, but that was an entirely different story. he pulled seaweed off of himself and just pulled fingers through his hair as he spoke, " ive been drowning them, they're on edge lately" and this was true. he protected his kind by drowning all the others. " i never thought that i could lure men into the water until this week. they're more gullible than the women usually are."

Lynn stared at him curiously, "You have more?" He questioned, getting even closer. There were two things Lynn couldn't resist; shiny things and food. It was quite obvious he wanted more, and by now the water was at his shoulders instead of his chin.

"of course i do. i'm a fisherman, its not too hard to get ingrediants. do you want to try a spicy one?" he ended up sitting on the small dock like area on his boat where it simply rested on the water and kept him close to the surface, it made it easier to fish and in this circumstance easier to socialize with the new kid. he had a lot of sushi on a little tray, and used a pair of chopsticks to eat his own. " there are vegetable ones, salmon ones, tuna and shrimp ones too. i think i put a few crab ones in there and i dont know about the others to be honest." he shrugged slightly as he put a small sushi roll in his mouth. " the green stuff on the side is wasabi, i dont think you should try that unless you really like spices."

Lynn listened carefully as the man explained he different kinds of sushi, "You can make that with all of those fish?" He asked as curiousity got the better of him and he was close to the human. "How do you make them? And why are you using those sticks? W-wasbi? What's that?" the questions just kept coming.

Finnegan gave a friendly, lopsided smile to Caleb. "Well that's good to hear. I've heard rumors that some colonies are attacking rouges, just want to be safe. Hard to do now." He gave a small chuckle before slowly peeling the bottom-feeder off of Caleb's arm, letting it slowly move around his hand before putting it on the coral reef. "I'm Finnegan, but everyone just calls me Finn. It's easier." The awkward fish-man smiled politely as he ran a hand through his fluffy little Mohawk again, not sure how to approach or begin conversation with this man. He couldn't exactly relate with colony stuff, but he could relate to drowning humans and tipping the smaller fishing boats over; one of Finn's favorite pastimes actually. Of course the humans believed them to be evil, but they'd probably do the same thing if a bunch of people started to invade their privacy. Merfolk have been living in these waters long before humans, what gave them the right to suddenly intrude and start killing and capturing merpeople?

Slightly shocked by what happened next, Mira simply remained silent. The other mermaid swam away, and she decided that there was no point in trying to follow, thanks to her damaged fin. Rolling her eyes, she simply swam on, wondering why the other was so frightened. She was very eager to escape Mira, so she assumed that the other was a rogue. That made sense somewhat. Miramar swam upwards, hoping that something familiar or interesting would come into view.

xxx Kit knew that he was taking a huge risk going into the water the way he did. But if they were going to find the mermaid's clan, killing them on site would not bring them any closer. "Yea, yea, I know. But this is a really good shot we have here. And one not noticing I'm human just raises the possibility that others will think the same." He finished drying off with a towel and decided against putting on his tank-top, allowing his tan to get more even.

xxxKit watched as His fellow crew member tossed a net overboard and splash into the water. Watching it slowly sink and a few bubbles quickly rise. "I hope we catch something today."

xxxOnce Cody has gotten the other mermaid back into the water he decided to check her for any cuts or injuries from the humans. But before he could, she took off, swimming far from him. He just floated there in the water in a little shock, libertine his arms float beside him. "You're welcome." He said to himself in an irritated tone. Sheesh! All he did was save her from a net and a crowd of humans and he didn't even get a thank you?! Whatever. He decided that if he saw her in distress again he'd just turn his tail and swim the other way. Which was what he did just then. He untied his net from his waist and went back to the dock to re-catch his fish.
