for years, three different species of
people have existed-- the neko, the inu, and
the human. all three have lived in peace, and
still do, yet keeping to their own little bits of
society separately. a new project has started
to begin the intermingling again--a new project
involving interaction, friendship, and, of course,
romance.

there are no biases. there are no hateful
people, and there is no discrimination.
inu, neko and humans of all races, gender
identities, and sexuality are welcome here.
no one hateful in that sense is present--though,
of course, there may be a few difficult
individuals.

you may be at the violet villa of your
own accord. a parent may have sent you. or
maybe you were chosen and sent here without
a choice. however, your goals are all the same--
either befriend someone, or fall in love. will you
be too sure of what option comes first? no, of course
not. but you'll find out soon enough. now, enter the
villa, and prepare to begin your new life. of course,
the question between friendship and love is...

humans. of course, your regular, very common
humans are a species so diverse, it is incredibly
difficult to sum them up in just a few sentences.
as a whole, humans are very unpredictable; some
are cold, ruthless people whose only joy in life
is making others suffer, while others are tender
and sensitive individuals who enjoy spending
time with others talking and investing in lifetime
friendships and bonds. what you will get is a mix;
it all depends on the kind of person you meet. how-
ever, in the violet villa, there only may be a few
human troublemakers.

neko are a cat-like race of people who,
of course, both act and resemble cats in many
ways. usually, they have the ears of a cat or feline
species, as well as a matching tail, and sometimes
even fangs. they tend to be the more sassy, playful
kind of people, and are often found sleeping or
remaining secluded when upset about something or
simply tired. though, as with humans, you will
always find a black sheep or two.

inu, on the other hand, are the race with any
canine or dog-like characteristics, including foxes,
hyenas, or anything belonging to the canine family.
appendages, of course, ears and a tail, and are
the more energetic of the two. they are usually the
ones hunting for affection and attention more often
than a neko would, and can usually be a little more
innocent and genuinely interested in friendship over
a relationship. still, there are just as many that are
seeking a more conventional type of love--a deeper
bond in life.

i expect that everyone follow these rules, and follow them well. you get two strikes before you're out.

one- as expected, CS's basic rules apply, as well as the basic roleplay rules--timeskip when doing any unsightly scenes, be mature in OOC, etc.
two- i expect at least four sentences of story per character per post. and i mean detailed sentences, not "peter sat. he saw the snow. he got bored and went out. then he saw fred and said hi."
three- for now, you may only roleplay one character per species, so a total of three-- one human, one neko, one inu. of course, you may play two or just one as well.
four- do not roleplay over two pages without me here, or all parties involved will receive a strike.
five- characters from the lgbt+ community are allowed and encouraged. any homophobic or transphobic behavior outside of roleplaying is prohibited, and will result in an immediate boot from the roleplay. i will NOT tolerate that childish behavior.
six- you may only be a canine species or a feline species for neko and inu; no dragons, unicorns, or anything i DIDN'T mention. canine species include dogs, hyenas, foxes, etc. while feline include tigers, cats, leopards, lynxes, etc.
seven- all pairings are accepted, be it inu x inu, human x inu, inu x neko, and so forth.
eight- do not make your character below age eighteen. i don't want a bunch of 15 year olds with 19 year olds and such, it's just odd.
nine - keep watch--i may add more of these.
ten- don't have all straight characters in this roleplay, please. i want at least four non-straight or non-cis-gendered characters. also, please keep genders even.

So, the program was to begin.
Yuri had known throughout the entire process of volunteering, having his criminal records checked out, and any other kind of test they could have possibly done, that this was some sick sort of "breeding program", but without the breeding. He thought of it more as some kind of arranged matching situation, which, it was; they'd find people, neko, and inu of any sexuality or gender identification and process them before announcing them into the program--fourteen. If this worked out, there would be a major lessening of barriers; in the real world(not this stupid little fantasy building they'd all be living in), people of the three different kinds were...awkward. No one spoke to someone that was not of their own race, because they had no idea what to talk about. Oftentimes, humans were a bit crueler to the neko and inu than the other way around; more often than not, there would be stories Yuri would overhear of teenagers in schools massively bullying an inu or neko student because of their animal traits and tendencies, or a sudden attack on one for acting playful or interested in a person. The world played it out to be some sort of awkward peace, really, but it wasn't--at least, where he lived. Maybe it was just some sort of struggle to say it wasn't a mass discrimination of humans against the animal-like races, but... Either way, he was here, along with three other humans. He was here to find someone to either befriend or "fall for", although he knew quite well the creators of this program had been planning on the latter. Why else do the extensive research on personality on top of everything else? "...." Puffing out a sigh, the long-haired young man finally tuned out his thoughts, looking around his room; they'd all started out in there, guided in one by one. Now, they were supposed to come out and "greet" the others, but... Hell, why not? After a moment's hesitation, the human rose and walked toward his bedroom door, opening it and heading down the spiral staircase.

He didn't want to go, not at all. Ludger wasn't the most social neko, but he did seem to be likable enough; that, and he was basically the only neko in his home region that didn't feel hatred toward humans. More than anything, he was a little uneasy about them, but still wanted to meet at least one regardless. Perhaps the ones they'd chosen here weren't the unfriendly types he'd heard of. His gray-tipped white tail swished slowly as if agitated as he gazed at the door with his blue and green-ringed eyes, one ear twitching back; if he didn't go out, he'd probably lose the chance to meet everyone all at once, right? His own decision didn't take long; he rose within a matter of moments and opened the door to his downstairs room, glancing around; he hadn't gotten a very good first look when he'd first arrived. It was massive, to say the least. Of course, it had to be, to be able to hold fourteen people all at once, but...it was still astounding. He bit his lip before choosing to go and sit on one of the large couches in the center of the staircases on either side of the upstairs area, leaning against one of the arms and gazing at the fireplace intently, quickly becoming captivated by the flickering flames. "....." Was it a real fire, or just one of the many fakes he'd seen throughout where he lived? He wanted to touch it to be sure, but he knew that fire did indeed burn skin quite badly. He wasn't stupid, just...curious.

Sarah slightly touched villa's entrance door, taking a deep breath before going inside. She was scared a bit and had a very bad feeling. Human and inu or neko race never got along too well... there were some exceptions, but every human she met wasn't too nice. Finally Sarah got enough courage to open the door, once she entered the surroundings left her speechless, everything was like in a fairy tale book. Sarah took each step carefully and slowly, even though she wanted to go find her dorm as quickly as possible. After about fifteen minutes she sat on her new bed and took out her stuff from colorful bags.

Hesitation is the instantaneous route to regret. It's not difficult to imagine the compilation of "What ifs" and "Perhaps" that create a whirlwind of anxiety in each other. With her frail hand lingering over the doorknob, fingers hardly grazing the golden sphere, Yuuki is stuck in that maddening middle gray area called hesitation. Alone, it's hard to put up her usual hardcore front and pretend everything is alright and dandy. It's not so easy to lie to herself when no one is around to watch her pretend. Rather, she feels naked alone, and it's a vulnerable place to be in when she has to make such a big decision. Her tail swishes back and forth, the nub twitching furiously. No... Wait. That decision was made already wasn't it? When she signed onto the meaningless experiment these ridiculous humans created, any choice Yuuki had had been tossed aside and set on fire. In other words, right now, in this moment, there is no room for hesitation. It's now become a moment of procrastination. Closing her eyes, Yuuki takes a deep breath, counts to 3, then firmly grasps the knob and turns. What greets her doesn't surprise her.

The room is grand, in a way that takes her breath away, but not in a way she doesn't expect. On the couch, leaning against the arm comfortably, is a boy. A Neko boy. Someone like her. She smiles, inwardly relieved the first person she'd meet wouldn't be a human. Her relationship with that race is rather complicated, and it's a sensitive topic to approach when she's among her family members-especially those she has to call her parents. Her eyes trailed along the focus line of the boy's own eyes and soon Yuuki found herself entranced by the glowing flames as well, though not for long. "Hey. Who are you?" She speaks, harshly, though lacking the harsh intent usually accompanied by the tone. Her curiosity far outweighs any hostility she might have towards anyone who she will meet at this villa, no matter the race. Her relationship with even Inus is complicated, yet another touchy theme never to be spoken of at the table when at her home. She stays close to the doorway, keeping her eyes fixated on the boy's ears. Adorable

The young male jumped where he sat in surprise as he was addressed in such a sharp regard, despite how the tone itself didn't match the pitch; it was still startling, especially since he'd been so caught up in the fire's flickering orange flames. One of his gray ears flicked back sharply before his blue eyes settled upon the other neko, relaxing a bit and briefly studying her before he began to speak. "...a neko," he replied a little smartly, before smiling a bit and adding, "Ludger. Your name is...?" Speaking was something he was going to have to get used to, for sure; normally, he was rather quiet, but if he'd be making any sort of friends, he'd have to start speaking up. Of course, 'romance' was an option, too, but...he wasn't so sure on that. He wasn't very quick to fall head-over-heels. So, his first objective was making friends with her. She was a fellow neko, so that upped his trust-levels almost instantly; he'd give everyone a chance before abruptly distrusting them, but...other neko had bigger chances. More, maybe? He wasn't sure. While he waited for an answer, his eyes flickering up to her ears; what parts did she have, he wondered. They didn't look anything like that of a house cat, like he was used to; instead, they were patterned differently, uniquely. He wanted to ask, but he wasn't sure if that were an odd question or not. For now, he'd wait on the formalities before opening his mouth any more.

Pouncing on his bed sheets and rolling them up, Jupiter then lay down and took a deep breath. He had waited to come to the villa for a few weeks but now he was here, he knew he was going to miss his family. He had always been a family orientated person but his parents decided it was time for him to move out, but they were aware that Jupiter couldn't look after himself so the villa was the place to send him.

He reached for the frame which contained a photo of his mother, farther and siblings and momentarily hugged it before placing it back on the night stand next to the bed. Jupiter then began to roll around as he had tangled himself in the blankets. He freed himself as he fell from the bed and landed with a heavy this. Jupiter instantly got up and shoved his blankets back on his bed before deciding to go exploring the mansion.

Leaving his room, Jupiter hurried along the hallways opening random doors and looking into the different rooms.
