Her head tipped to the side for the barest moment at his words. "Everyone seems to be a bit restless and excited over them. I can't wait; the Clan could use a few kits to liven the place up." A low purr emanated from the heart of her throat, though her demeanor seemed to shift towards melancholy as she was promptly reminded of her sister. She wondered how she was doing, and if Hawk was taking proper care of her. As she dipped deeper into private thought, her gaze took on a bit of a faraway look.

Nightfang finished grooming himself, he lay down in the soft sun light and absorbed it's warmth.

DuskLight nods in agreement. "The place has seemed rather dull lately. And new warriors are a plus" He beamed, but slowly his smile began to shrink in size and brightness. "It's going to be my first time with a kitting since a long time" DuskLight looked back towards SpeckledMoon from the corner of his eye. When he saw how calm and happy she looked he smiled, his worries faded away. He tilted his head, whiskers twitching, when SpeckledMoon seemed to go into a trance like state. His eyes narrowed in thought over what she was thinking so deeply about. He voiced the first thing that came to his mind. "Um..If you're thinking over kits..d-don't worry! I'm sure you'll have them some day! Might even..be..soon..?" A worried expression became almost permanently stuck to DuskLights' face as he hesitantly waited for her reaction, hoping he had guessed correctly over what she was thinking of.

Blinking out of her reverie, she awarded him with a small, reassuring smile. "Perhaps. Father always thought differently, though, and now I understand his meaning entirely. Having a mate and kits of my own would surely be nice, but in the end, I doubt anyone would want a she-cat that spends most of her time with her head in the clouds rather than down here in the forest where it belongs." An amused noise escaped her. She was more bothered by the absence of her dear sister than the fact it would be difficult for her to find love. It was never at the forefront of her mind, in any case; serving the Clan came first, though now that Dusklight had put it in her mind, she couldn't help but wonder if that was really the path for her to take or not.

DuskLight sighed in relief and flashed back a smile. A look crossed his face at her words, similar to the look some cat would make when they eat yarrow. "No offence, but your father sounds like a mousebrain. I think any tom would be lucky to have you as a mate" A look of pure horror crossed his face at voicing his own thoughts. "W-well what I mean is that I think others would prefer a mate who wasn't completely serious..er I'm just rambling" DuskLight sighed embarrassed. He laughed "Maybe that's the true reason I became the medicine cat, because I was so heartbroken that no one wanted a serious cat" Despite the almost depressing words, the grin on DuskLights' face showed that he was joking. It was a bad joke. His gaze wandered to the camp, scanning for any signs of change. "Guess we're not the only ones with kits and the like on the mind" He flicked his tail toward the elder den. An amused chuckle rang through the air.

Flicking her tail against Dusklight's flank good-naturedly, she laughed. "Oh, come now, that isn't true. I'd say many would love a serious mate. At least one of them would be able to set the stability within the relationship." As he spoke his next words, her gaze traveled towards the elder's den, softening once she spotted Icefeather and Shadowpelt. "I feel like an elder for saying this, but it really is a treat to witness something like this. It's not every day you get to watch this kind of thing blossom before your eyes." She turned back to offer the medicine cat a glance. "As for my father.. well, he left the Clan after my sister did. It was right after she and I became warriors, do you remember? It's been very nearly four whole seasons since that time. I was sad to see them go, but if it was for their best interests, I could find it within myself to forgive and support their decisions. Even if it means they've been branded as a disgrace to their Clan and the code."

He nodded in contemplation over her opinion. "I suppose you're right, there needs to be a balance between the two or else there'd be chaos" He nodded once again to affirm his words, eyes narrowing in deep thought over the matter. He once again turned his gaze back to the two young warriors by the elder den. A faint, sad smile graced his face. He watched them in fondness. "You're not the only one SpeckledMoon. Sometimes I wish...there was a herb or ointment for it" he shook his head before continuing "But I suppose it's ine of those things that has to grow on its own" He turned back to SpeckledMoon as she continued. He thought back into his memories, nodding, silently showing that he remembered. "He just left you all alone?" DuskLight rested his tail on her flank, eyes filled with sympathy. He looked far off into the sky at the distant clouds. "Do you think...you would do the same? Break the code for something you desired like that?" DuskLight faced SpeckledMoon, his eyes shimmering with curiosity.

Seriously contemplating it for a long second. "I'm not sure. I wouldn't very well want to hurt those around me and cause them grief for decisions I've made, but then again, love is still a mystery to me. I'm sure my opinion would alter drastically if I found a significant other." She once again gestured to Icefeather and Shadowpelt to punctuate her words. "Though if I considered my own desires, I would probably go out on a whim and say yes, admittedly. But I wouldn't leave. My Clan is my home, and I'll always belong, more so than my father ever has."

DuskLight nodded in agreement. "You're kind, thinking of others. Most, probably even me, wouldn't think of what effect our decisions would leave. But like you said, it all depends on the cat." DuskLight scrunched up his nose in thought "But deep down, I don't think I would care. Because, someday, we're all going to cause grief so why delay the inevitable." He closed his eyes for a moment before reopening them. "But I will agree with you on one thing; I would never leave my home" He stared up at a lone crow in the sky, DuskLight sat in comfortable silence, his tail resting on his paws.

Lightningpaw looked at Moontail dipped his head. "Yes, I would love to," he meowed nodding. He looked around camp a bit.

Fang

Fang arrived at the riverbank and dipped his head to lap up the crisp cool water. He lifted his head, shaking the small droplets off his whiskers before he stretched and started to scent that air for prey.

"Ok, would you like to hunt or do battle training?" He asked leading them out of the camp.
