There was a bloody, matted kit laying in a puddle of blood. It looked dead except for the very slight breathing.

He spots a tiny blood-soaked kitnon the ground and rasps his tongue around it.

It mews loudly and it's fur turns out to be a ginger, black and white calico she kit.

He gently carries her back to camp and cuddles her and licks her.

She purrs, cuddling into his fur.

She saw the kit and ran over. "Firepaw, are you okay?" She looked at the kit. "Aw, thank you for bringing her into camp!" She called for Shadowstar.

She smiled back, her amber eyes bright. Her parents had been killed, but she wouldn't remember. She hissed and unsheathed her little claws when Shadowcloud ran over.

He yawned and got up, walking over. He saw the kit and smiled "She is adorable. Where did you find her?"

"Aw, its okay little one. Your safe here." She smiled. I hope we have kits someday... She looked at her mate.
