a ship in the quay of the Lost City of Junto bearing the banners of a far off kingdom called Civan has been the recipient of quite a bit of attention. it, along with it's Captain and crew have been visiting the once believed legendary city of Junto for a month.

and now another ship bearing the banners of Civan is slipping along the river, looking for the first and it's crew, and should they not find their countrymen, drastic measures will be taken.

Adela was born in Civan, like most of the other sailors on the ship. Following her father's lead, she boarded her first ship when she was 18 years old, after having an interest in the sea her whole life due to her father being a sailing merchant. At first she worked under him, making a name for herself and proving that she was just as good at sailing and negotiations as her father was. Her father, wanting her to take over the business from him, sent her to another city to see what kind of profits she would make. However, she made little, and she decided it would be best to simply stick to sailing rather than selling. It took her a few years to rise in the ranks in the Queen's Navy, but now she is a Captain, piloting her own ship under the commands of the Queen of Civan. Adela is a happy person for the most part. She enjoys being around people and her friends, telling stories and jokes and messing with people in general. Over her years of work on ships, she has built up a higher pain tolerance than most women living on the land, along with physical strength nearly comparable to some of the men she sails with. However, when her mind turns to darker subjects, she tends to be a pessimist and harshly critical of herself and others. Often she makes bad decisions in moments of anger, and will jump before looking where there is to land.

Aedan was born to a middle class family out in the valley, away from the main city of Civan. His brothers and him used to always play along the riverside, swimming as far downstream as their mother would let them. When he was 18, he had saved enough money from working other farms to go to school for a few years to learn navigation and cartography. Done school at the age of 23, he was employed on a merchant ship for a few years as a navigator. The ship traveled all over, instilling further in him the love of exploration and discovery. However as a navigator, he did little work on deck, meaning he has poor relationships with the other sailors, even though he is still physically strong and able to help with all manner of tasks on deck. Due to his advantage of five years of extra schooling, Aedan is a rather intelligent individual who likes his work and works well. That is when he can focus. He tends to be a bit immature mentally, getting distracted by things that are passing by, losing interest in projects quickly, and so on. He loves to be around his friends and is very amiable to those they introduce to him, but is wary of strangers overall. However, he has a stubborn streak a mile wide and has a strong mind of his own to add to his list. If he doesn't want to do something, he won't be doing it. It takes a certain special patience to work with him, and sometimes earplugs.

Odhran, a son of a nobleman of Junto was born and raised around the court. He learned at a young age that the city was a volatile place, many of the mixed races and creatures hated one another, creating a crucible for war. At the age of 21 he was on the Queen's counsel, helping her avoid such wars. Eventually, after spending enough time around the Queen, they were married, much to his delight, as he had fallen madly in love with her. Since, he has always acted as a sort of personal body guard, adviser and has always striven to be a good husband. However, the shadow of his family's past is still looming greatly over his head, and though he would like to avoid it's fate, he finds it inescapable. Odhran is a great lover of the power of the mind. He enjoys playing the mind games that are ever so popular in court, as well as telling jokes of wordplay and solving puzzles. A life at court has made him cautious of everyone and everything, and his marriage to the Queen has increased these fears. his paranoia has extended to his sister as well, especially with the visitors from Civan growing closer to the ruling family of Junto. At times he can be very proud, especially about his upbringing and his family, but he is a loving person and should you become close enough to receive such treatment from him, it is like the protection of the royal guard.

Alessandra was born to a prominent and wealthy family in the city of Thelukion in the east, raised by her strict father and her soft-spoken mother. Her father greatly opposed her learning anything about the magic and sciences of the world. Her many siblings chose more appropriate roles at court, and so Alessandra felt compelled to leave, finding Junto and it's wealth of knowledge along her way. The arrival of the Civan's first ship created enough of a stir that she was allowed to help the Governor and Queen. Though she forgets her age, a byproduct of a spell she had read one night, she does remember her homeland and misses her mother and siblings very much. She is and was an avid learner, spending as much time as she possibly could in libraries and book shops. Alessandra, is a very industrious individual. She is passionate about the things that she works at, namely writing and magic and reading good books. This gathering of knowledge over a number of years that even she doesn't know has made her quite intelligent. The problem is getting her to remember the proper piece of information and her being willing to help you. Crossing her will only do harm as she has a horrible temper and remembers ever bad deed done to her. However, those that she does enjoy the company of, she will prove loyal and a true friend to.

My name is Nikolai Sanjensue and I am the General serving under Governor Odhran. I am also his Counselor and closest friend. If you threaten him, your life will end. You will address me as General or General Nikolai unless I say otherwise , but don't get your hopes up.

Before you ask the question, no I don't have a problem in taking a life to defend another. I've been around for a very long time. How old am I? Do you want to be a pile of ash? Actually, that should give you a clue as to what I am. I am a member of the oldest race on Junto: a fire drake. What do I look like? Ugh, you must be blind. Here, open your eyes and take a look.

I spend most of my time as a human unless I'm in my room which lies beneath the palace. No, I don't mind it being down there. It make sense as most dragon lairs are underground. As a dragon, I'm too big to fit in the castle anyway. As far as mates are concerned, I am single. You can try to impress me, but it will take quite a bit on your part in order to do so. I did have feelings for someone at one point, but......it didn't work out. It doesn't bother me...really. It was her choice and her decision. I can't change that.



My name is Sozin Sanjensue and I am Nikolai's younger brother. I serve as a courtier and a soldier under Governor Odhran. I will serve until my dying breath, protecting the royal family.

In some ways, I'm like my brother. Both of us are fire drakes that can take human form.

I'm also younger than he is; he looks 26, and I look like I'm 24. Anyway, I'm not as uptight as he is. I'm more laid back most of the time, easy going and like making new friends. Don't get me wrong though; we are still one of the deadliest species to ever reside in Junto. So don't take advantage of my calm, some times jovial demeanor because it can change in a instant. Like my brother, I spend most of my time in human form unless I'm in my room or out running an errand or something like that. We share the tunnel space beneath the palace, but I don't mind. I've got my room and be alone for a while if I wish.

As far as crushes and stuff, that's where we differ. See, I kinda have a crush on this one lady. Her name is Alessandra and she's just.....words can not describe her. I don't think she notices me though; I get kinda shy in situations like that. Anyway, maybe she'll notice me....*sigh* I can dream, can't I?

Personality:
Kyla is a polite and kind girl. She would always help someone in need and never hesitates to assist even the lowest of the low. She has her quirks and can be quite unorthodox but is a compassionate, sensitive girl. She has moments of timidness but can be loud and bold when with family or close friends. Kyla does however have multiple personality disorder and when she crosses over she is dangerous and aggressive. She is known to hurt people, even those closest to her, that's why she tries to distance herself from people. Though show her kindness and she struggles to remained detatched, as so few show her any. Not fully understanding her condition Kyla believes there's a demon living inside her that's determined to ruin her.

History
Growing up Kya should have had everything. She came from a wealthy and influential family who could afford to lavish her in luxury. As it was, her condition meant money went towards her recovery and not towards luxuries. She spent 20 years seeing one doctor after another, all claiming they could cure her, but not one could help her. She was abused and taken advantage of by some doctors, only worsening her condition. After 20 years enough was enough and she refused to see any others, knowing they did no good to help her. She grew up unable to make friends as a child and rumors spread quickly about her that would hamper any attempt at it in future. Her only companion for years was her brother Odhran who she cares for deeply. When Odhran married Tsura and he became governor it was agreed that Kyla would remain a secret, afraid the kingdom would disapprove of the marriage due to Odhran's 'weak bloodline'. Heartbroken but understanding the secret was kept and Kyla's confidence dropped. She was reluctant to even attend balls after that and only did to content Odhran. She began to draw further into herself, she would read books to pass the time which inspired a dream of far off lands. She practiced dance and singing and became rather good at both but she would never share her talent. When the civan's came however Kyla met the ships navigator and began to slowly come out of her shell. She hopes one day to leave with him and see the shores beyond Junto but Odhran doesn't want her to leave and she is torn between her dream of far off lands and the family she would leave behind.

Marie, as she's most commonly known, can appear gruff at first. She is a stickler for rules and does not tolerate so much as setting a toe out of line. She is ambitious and puts her ambitions above all else meaning she can, and will, push others away for her goals. She is respected on her ship and cares for her crew but very few of them could consider her a friend. She sees her strict approach to the crew as tough love and accepts that they will never see her as a friend for this reason. Marie has faced a lot to get to her position due to sexist obstruction and her social background, therefore she will not accept failure as an option and will prove to everyone that a girl of lower class background can work just as well as any upper class man. Sometimes, however, Marie's work life bleeds into her personal life and it has damaged her relationship with her family. Not a day goes by that she doesn't regret the damage she has done to her family but her ambition and pride prevent her from making amends.

History
Marie was the youngest of 5 girls and was the least lady-like of all of them. They lived in a cramped cottage and her father and sisters took any work they could find to make ends meet. Marie hated the cottage and she hated the town she came from, all she wanted to do was leave but she never could. At 16 her mother told her that they couldn't prolong it any longer and that she needed to find a job. Without protest she started looking, she talked to every company with a ship, longing for a position on board but she never got more than a scoff in reply. When her mother found out where she was looking for work she got an earful for it. The shouting and arguing went on for days with relentless fierceness. Marie refused to accept her position and her mother refused to accept Marie's dreams, and understandably so. After days or raging Marie packed up and left the home she grew up in, the town she grew up in and everything she had ever known. She made her way across the country to find whatever work she could, trying consistently for the same position as always and being turned down every time. One day, upon chance, she was in the capital city of Junto and saw an advertisement searching for 'strong young ladies with an interest in sailing'. A new program was being set up to experiment with the concept that women could work in the queen's navy. Without hesitation Marie volunteered her services, having looked for such an opportunity since she had left home. Only a handful of women had put themselves forward, Adela among them, but only Marie came from such poor backgrounds. None the less Marie made quite the crew member, being strong as she was and well used to harsh living. She was placed in a crew of all men and ,though she challenged most of them with her ability, she was seen as a joke by all of them. She was mocked and abused and then when she tried to report it was blamed for it. She would never fight back, never set a toe out of line and never refuse an order, no matter how compromising or degrading. She was well aware of her position and strove to reach high enough in rank to escape it. After years of hardship and determination she achieved it, reaching the rank of captain on a navy ship of her own. Marie spends what little time off she gets with her family, despite tension still being high, though she is by no means the same dreamer that left the house 10 years ago. She is cold even when she is with them and can never truly remove the mask she wears as captain.
