The calico she-cat halted her run as she saw the rabbit get close enough for Spiderpelt to catch it. She found rabbit rather tasty and she knew that it would be healthy for the cats to eat. Her tufted ears pricked forward as she waited for the tom to try to catch the rabbit. Rabbits were only hard to catch if the hunter wasn't speedy enough. Her mismatched eyes focused on the brown fluffy animal.

He nodded and stood up. Hawkfeather took a few closer steps to the water and then looked down, excitedly spotting a fish. He waited to catch it.

Spiderpelt kept his eyes focused on the rabbit and only the rabbit. He was concentrating very well. The tom came out of the bushes with a wild jump and landed on the rabbit. This time, he managed to bend down and kill it with a bite to the neck. He happily carried the rabbit in his jaws back to Shadowheart, feeling very proud and pleased with himself. He then dug a small hole into the ground and buried the prey.
