Mangledfoot jerked awake. "Eh? Well, maybe if ya didn't get so close to my nest, you wouldn't get kicked!" the tom shot back. "You know I'm a shifter."

Palepaw shrugged in response.

[DawnWillow]

"Then don't shift, you useless scap of fur!" Ferretface retorted, quite annoyed.

[Brim]

Mangledfoot's eye twitched. "Quit sleeping so close and we'll see what happens," he snapped, though still half-asleep. "Course it could go either way. Sleep closer and we can see what happens then, too, mouse-brain."

Flarepaw looked at the two she-cats then shook his fur. "But we shouldn't even ask."

Straying away from the kits side, and nodded to a well covered den. "The nursery's that way." Spottedstar told Speckledkit, then darted off to the elder's den.

[Brim]

Palepaw shrugged. "Mm, I dunno. If we don't ask, we might never know. If she doesn't tell us when we ask, then that's fine, I guess."

[DawnWillow]

"How in starclan is this my fault!?!?! You kicked me in the face and now I'm gonna have a sore nose for days. I hope you're happy!" Ferretface hissed back.

[Brim]

"Gonna admit, would be happier if my paw got you tongue swollen up enough for you to stop speaking," Mangledfoot growled, plopping his head back on to his paws.

Flarepaw an Echopaw nodded their agreement. "Hey, look it's almost sundown!" Echopaw exclaimed

Spottedstar poke her nose into the Eleder's den. "What's the problem now?"

[Brim]

Mangledfoot grunted, "She got too close to my nest, she knows I'm a kicker, and blames me for bopping her nose."

Palepaw turned her attention to the sky.

"This mousebrain kicked me in my dang head while i was asleep and now he don't wanna admit it was his fault! I oughta skin ya fer that, ya inconsiderate piece of mousedung!" Ferretfur answered her leader.
