What are Anubisia hounds?
Anubisia Hounds are incredibly agile, nearly wild dogs. They are tall and slender, their bodies covered with a sleek, short coat. Their legs look thin and delicate, but they are stronger than they appear. They stand anywhere from 3-5 feet from paw to shoulder, and their bodies are as long as they are tall. A long, thin tail hangs behind them, almost cat-like in it's flexibility. They are incredibly intelligent and are capable of understanding human speech. They are able to communicate with one another with a series of complex noises, ranging from yips and barks, all they way to snorts and grumbles. Some cases have been reported of a group of Anubi holding a 'conversation' with one another. They come in a wide variety of colors, ranging from white, to black, all shades of brown, pale yellows (blonde), and reds. Their coats come with many different markings. Some may hold only a few markings, while some can hold several different styles.
Behavior and diet:
Anubisia Hounds are social animals and love the company of one another, as well as humans. While still being considered 'wild dogs', they can be rather tame when being handled by people. They form strong bonds with their owners and will give their own lives to ensure the survival of their loved ones. Though each Anubi has it's own unique personality. They are seen in the wild in packs, led by an alpha male and female. These packs can form with anywhere from 4-70 members.
They are carnivorous canines, though the 'domestic' Anubi often dines on special high-energy kibbles. They hunt anything they can catch. This included lizards, birds, monkeys and fish. In packs, they are capable of hunting larger animals such as camels, horses, antelope, and possibly even other predatory animals.
