The brown tabby padded from camp. ''Well, we usually go training in the meadow where the ground is softer. There might be cats there, but it won't matter as long as we stay out of their way.'' A thought crossed Cedarpaw's mind and he turned to look at Hunter suspiciously. ''Are you allowed to leave camp?'' He had only just met the tom and he obviously hadn't been accepted as a part of the clan. He wasn't quite sure what the tom's rank was. What if he isn't allowed to leave and I let him? I'll be in big trouble! I'd probably never get to be a warrior if I did that! The brown tabby uneasily blocked the loner's path from camp, so that he couldn't leave until he gave an answer to the apprentice's question. His tabby tail lashed from side to side.

The calico she-cat halted her run as she saw the rabbit get close enough for Spiderpelt to catch it. She found rabbit rather tasty and she knew that it would be healthy for the cats to eat. Her tufted ears pricked forward as she waited for the tom to try to catch the rabbit. Rabbits were only hard to catch if the hunter wasn't speedy enough. Her mismatched eyes focused on the brown fluffy animal.
