guys, all of my friends have been recommending hunterxhunter for me to watch, but idk how good it will be. I think it's the one that hasn't been finished, so I'm a little wary about getting attached to all those characters.
do you cool cats recommend it, basically?

If you're talking about the 2011, its really worth the watch!! It has a satisfying ending - well at least in my opinion - and I got attached to many characters :v I'd recommend it to anyone pretty much..

I've started watching it and I'm thoroughly enjoying myself, although I'm only on episode 3

And for psychological animes, I know I've said this before, but Psych Pass is a really good psych thriller anime. The apparently Utopian society isn't so perfect and it's about all the crazy people the law enforcement has to catch. There are some pretty messed up guys who are a little too obsessed with the police getting paid back and it's just really really awesome in my opinion.

Has anyone begun watching some of the new anime coming out and would recommend one or two? I've started a few and out of those I personally like Charlotte and Aoharu x kikanjuu c:

I also finished mikagura school suite today (I started it last night, whoops >u<' ). I enjoyed it and now I'm going to check out the songs (I found one of the songs before I knew the anime existed)

Also, any supernatural/magic themed anime that you'd recommend? Preferably no larger than about 30 episodes as I've discovered I tend to lose interest around that point. ;;

i thought it was a pretty good anime. i don't know if it's the best, but it's really worth the watch
in my opinion. and considering season two is coming out soon it's the perfect time to watch it c:
