Maplebreeze

Maplebreeze bit her tongue in order to avoid giving her apprentice a sharp retort. "Right, right. Follow me." She led her apprentice deeper into her den, and pawed out some tansy from the herb storage. "This is a plant called tansy," she told Ashpaw. "One can chew its leaves in order to relieve aching. Go ahead and take some."

Snowheart-

She woke up to see the stars of dusk, with a hint of cloud.
What lovely colors are in the sky tonight,
She thought as she padded towards the clearing.
She sat down at looked at the sky, her eyes wide open in awe.

Maplestar

"Tabbyfang, please, join me in me den." Maplestar led Tabbyfang into the cave and sat down on the moss bedding. "I know you don't want to talk about this but you have to some time." Maplestar paused for a moment, gathering her words, "it's about time you moved into the nursery and let another cat take the role of deputy while you are there."

Tabbyfang

"Mapplestar! I-I'm more than cappable of taking care of my duties I can assure you I haven't started slacking off because of my kits! You of all people should know the clan comes first to me!!"

Skythunder

Skythunder watched the camp he noticed Birchkit was getting his pounces spot on. He will make a great warrior one day. Skythunder was about to compliment him when he noticed Lilypaw acting off. Odd I should ask Owlpaw what's borthering her later. He padded over to talked to Russettree about kitting and get some advice, however Dawndream ran in and started speaking quickly to her mate. Skythunder stepped back not wanting to easedrop.

Maplestar

"I know you're capeable!" Maplestar snapped at her deputy "I would never think that you could not continue or would slack off because of your kits. Your loyalty to this clan is one of the reasons you are my deputy." Maplestar sighed. "Tabbyfang, your kits are going to arrive soon and I don't want you patrolling the PineClan border when it happens. Once they come you should spend as much time with them as possible, it is a valuable time and your kits will need you. Do not waste the little time you may have with the ones you love." Maplestar looked down to her paws, she was no longer talking about Tabbyfang. She was thinking of her own kits. Maplestar knew Tabbyfang would remember the terrible day all those moons ago.

Ashpaw ate it and recited. "Tansy for aches"

Tabbyfang

Tabbyfang watched the look on Mapplestars face. Oh she's remembering that night. Tabbyfang looked down "Sorry Maplestar I-I didn't mean I wouldn't spend time with my kits it's just Im still able to performe my duties as deputy, until then I will continue to serve. However if it makes you feel better I do share your concern and I won't go on any potrols or hunting parties. I bet that would make Skythunders day!" Tabbyfang laughed "He's been following me around for a while now. He thinks I don't notice."

Skythunder

Skythunder walked away from the couple not wanting to ease drop. He walked around the camp looking for something useful to do. In side the medicine cats den he could hear Ashpaw reciting herbs with Maplebreeze. I shouldn't bother them. In the end he wandered over to the elders den " Hey Mudsplash? Are you asleep?" He kept his voice down so he wouldn't disturb the rest of the camp

Whisper and Silence

Whisper and her sister continued through the forest. Suddenly she heard a sound coming from the right in a bush. " Wait Silence I think there's a cat over here!"
Silence walked over " Cats? Cats are bad news lets get out of here! We don't want a fight!"
" Wait! Silcence I smell milk this cat must be close to kitting!"
" WHAT! Then let's run we could be in big trouble if the father comes!"
"No I think she's alone...we cannot just leave her!"
" Alright fine but your doing the talking."
Both cats slipped into the bush and found a den well hidden by the bush. Inside the den was a sandy furred she-cat.

Maplestar

Maplestar shook herself off, she couldn't think about that now. "Tabbyfang there is no doubt in my mind that you could continue the role of deputy with your kits, but this is not up for debate." Maplestar knew how much it meant to Tabbyfang to continue her duties but she would not allow the queen to be deputy while she also had to be with her kits. "I will announce the new deputy at dawn, now get some sleep. You'll thank me later." Maplestar dismissed Tabbyfang with a flick of her tail.

Tabbyfang

"But Maplestar-" Tabby fang cut herself it was no use arguing. Her tail swished over the stones angrily and she stormed out of the den.

Nighteyes

Nighteyes was entering Maplestar's den when Tabbyfang exited. He knew what the she-cats were talking about based on how angry Tabbyfang looked, Nighteyes wanted to say something but he didn't know what. He walked up to Maplestar. "She'll understand later," He lay down on the soft moss. "Get some sleep."

Maplestar

Maplestar knew trying to sleep would be no use. She padded out of the den and sat at the top of the jutting rock. From there Maplestar watched her clan settle down for the night.

Dawndream

Dawndream saw Tabbyfang looking very unhappy and thought maybe the promise of more kits would cheer her up. "I'am going to talk to Tabbyfang." Reluctantly she left her mate behind and cantered to Tabbyfang "Tabbyfang, I'am going to have kits!"
