the tom laid on his back, playing with a stray green leaf, his life was so boring. he let the leaf drop then let himself roll onto his flank. he sat up and stretched out his legs, keeping his back straight. he padded out of the den and sat down, still bored as heck.

Swanfeather was just about to head out of camp before the voice of her apprentice reached her ears. she glanced down-- it was Midnightpaw. the orange she-cat had asked her a question. sounding slightly distracted, she gave a brief answer, followed by a question. no... we have enough herbs. where have you been, anyway!" she mewed sternly.

Stormspirit twitched his dusky gray ears, eyes traveling from place to place with no apparent destination. the tom sat idly in camp, under the shade of a leafy green tree. for the past few days everything had been quiet. he'd gone out to hunt a few times, but otherwise was invisible in the eyes of his clanmates. he spotted Swanfeather coming out of her den-- she probably wouldn't talk to him either. sighing, he lowered his head onto his paws, tail flicking with impatience.

@Tauriel: sorry for the short response-- i'd appreciate it if you could write a bit more than 13 words next time, that way i have something to go off of. ^^'

"Nice scare, Sandkit." The she-cat mewed in the same tone of voice as Sandstripe. Wrenstar glanced back towards camp and let out a quiet sigh, "On second thought, we probably should head back to camp. Unfortunately, I have decisions to make." The leader glanced back towards the tom, and began to dig back up the rabbit they had caught moments before.

"Yeah," Jackalflight mewed with a slight nod, "they can be sometimes." The she-cat lifted up a paw and licked it, smoothing down a piece of fur on her shoulder that had been ruffled by the wind. "Well, err, let's just say the worst of them would be the entire clan going up in flames." The she-cat shuddered slightly at the memory and tucked her paw back in beneath her tail, which was still wrapped around herself.

"I'll let you be here with your kits. Call me if you need anything, or anyone gives you any trouble." The tom mewed, glancing at the rouge. Rainnose bounded out of the nursery, glancing around the clearing

After a bit, Junipershadow returned to camp with his couple pieces of prey hanging from his jaws. The tom padded over to the fresh-kill pile and set the pieces of prey down along with the rest.

Stonepaw grinned at the she-cat. "Oh isn't it a beautiful day." He mewed, exaggerating a bit, "I think I'm just going to sit right here and enjoy it all." The tom sat down right at the apprentice's den entrance, angling his head towards the sky, but glancing back at ravenpaw out of the corner of his eye.

Alderpaw lifted her head up and grinned a smile filled with pride for herself. "Thank you." She mewed to her mentor. "I still have more to work on though." [ wb ]

I nodded "I was just trying to see if we were low on any herbs but I guess we got a lot of everything," I replied to my mentor.I yawned "Is there anything for me to do"? I asked.(Sorry about that)

the silvery molly shook her head. she flicked Midnightpaw on the nose with her tail before exiting the camp, ears pricked. she enjoyed taking walks by herself, with no company except for the chirping of the birds and the faint rustlings of the flora. her apprentice was helpful, sure, but she needed to learn to become more independent. checking the stocks was the first thing Swanfeather had taught the orange tabby, but apparently the molly still needed practice. "i hope she knows what poppy seed looks like. we don't need foxglove inside the medicine den," she fretted, eyes worried.

I nodded and watched her leave camp.Frowning I walked towards the fresh-kill pile.I picked out a small mouse and started eating.When I finished I looked up and saw a she-cat go into the nursery with Rainnose.They were both carrying kits.I wondered who the she-cat was and why she was in the clan.

She stopped in front of Rainnose, almost bumping into him when he came out of the nursery. "Hey, what's going on ?" She asked, having slept through most of what had happened that day.

So I told her she could leave our territory or come back to camp with me. You can see what she chose." He flicked his silver tail towards the nursery where the mother lay surrounding her five kits.
