Nightpaw frowned again. She then sat down and started staring at Eveningpaw. "You seem to need medicine help. Is it because of that rogue?" she said, tilting her head with a curious look on her eyes.

"don't you dare call my father a rogue." she snarled, her hackles rising.

Nightpaw looked surprised for a moment. Then she had a teasing smirk on her face. "So you're saying, that the rogue who almost killed you and injured Firefly and Thunderpaw is your father?" she asked. "Someone could get him out of there, think about it if a young apprentice walks into the medicine den and sees his dead body on the ground." she mewed and shrugged.

firefly nodded understandingly. "wow, i wish i had been there. perhaps i could have help i heard coltsfoot can help ease breathing. maybe it would work on cats who had breathed in smoke," he pondered, tipping his head to the side. "anyway, i need to leave this clan area. since you and i are both alone, why don't we stick together?'

eveningpaw was shaking badly. "just get out! if you're going to talk like that, then go! leave!" she snarled, her paws were shaking so quickly that they were almost blurry.

persephone nodded softly. "sure, that sounds like a good idea. also, what's a clan?" she asked, tilting her head again.

"a clan is a group of cats that live together," firefly replied carefully. did loners really not know these things? he had just presumed automatically that everycat had known about the clans. "it's where i'm from. each cat has a role and we all work as one to help each other survive,"

"You know, I came here just to be nice and ask are you alright, but since you don't want me to be nice I won't be nice!" Nightpaw hissed. She then stood up. "I'm just gonna go find Thunderpaw. Maybe he'll be better company than you."

eveningpaw stood up, her small frame shaking and shivering. "why do you hate me so much?! you treat me like dirt! all i wanted was respect for my dead father and here you are, lecturing me like i'm a kit! i'm not just a moss=ball for you to throw around with thunderpaw!" she growled, her eyes clouded with sadness. "oh, and will you stop rubbing it in my face?! i know he'll never feel the same about me because he has you, so there!" she hissed, quickly padding out of the den.

persephone nodded. "that's interesting... that's sort of like us, we lived in a pack, just my family though. we helped eachother survive too, but there are always weaknesses. anyways, we didn't really have roles, we just took care of eachother."

"not that different from a clan, then," firefly observed, standing up and stretching. his wounds no longer stung, and he knew that he should head back to the clan, but he couldn't. persephone was interesting, and he wanted to spend a little more time outside the clan. "we'll be a good team, coming from similar backgrounds,"

Nightpaw tilted her head. She then followed Eveningpaw outside. She ran in front of her. "I didn't know that he was your father before this! And I don't understand what you mean about Thunderpaw, I can see that he's enjoying his time better with you! And I don't hate you I'm just... Jealous! I'm jealous because Thunderpaw seems to like you so much! That's why I broke Batpaw's heart and I did it for nothing, Thunderpaw's still angry at me!" she hissed. Her voice broke down at the end. She looked to the side, sobbing a bit.
