I agree; a lot of people just prefer her design. x3 The developers actually specifically put a lot of effort into the Inkling girl's design, and she was the first one they made. In fact, they focused on her so much, that, at one point, they considered not even including a playable Inkling boy.

I would've been lame if you could only play as the girl Inkling. Speaking of Inkilings, when I'm talking about them with my brothers or my friends I normally just call them the 'girl Splatoon and boy Splatoon'. It's just the first thing that comes to my mind now.

Isn't it annoying when boys play as girl inklings? its kinda gross too...

I know I'm a little late, but I only just read this... I think it's perfectly fine when boys play as girl Inklings. In fact, I play as the boy Inkling sometimes. It isn't weird at all, some people just like the girl Inkling more.

I get it but its starting to get to the point where almost all of inklings are girls. Anyways, I joined Marshmallow :3

Oh yeah; I was really surprised to see those weapons when they added them that night~ I like them both, but I think the Inkbrush Nouveau is my favorite of the two. I really like its combination of sub and special weapons. (I haven't used it yet, though; I'm too busy training for Splatfest, equipped with the weapon I've chosen for it.)

Ermagersh. Europe's Splatfest is SO CUTE. /)>3<(\ Have fun with it over there~

Actually, that really isn't far from the truth. In a recent large Japanese poll, when asked about which Inkling they played as, over 70% of participants said the Inkling girl.
(Also, according to that same poll, the most popular weapon (with Japanese players, at least) is the Tentatek Splattershot. Kind of unexpected, right? I thought it would be the Aerospray RG. o3o Well, that, or... KRAK-ON: APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEA-*SPLAT*
*Ahem* Additionally, the poll covered a certain huge question. The favorite Squid Sister. *Dun dun dunnn* The winner turned out to be Marie, but Callie was actually not very far behind at all, which I think is cool. Usually, these things aren't so even. I'd love to see what the results would be if they were to run a worldwide version of the poll.)

So, does anyone here have plans for what to equip for the upcoming Splatfest? I'm planning on bringing ol' Squelchy (Custom Dual Squelcher) as my go-to weapon. As for my headgear and shoes, I may have an idea, but I'm still honing things. Currently, it seems I've chosen the Squash Headband and the Plum Casuals; I got Spyke to give them all max slots and everything. I'm not exactly sure about them, however, and will likely switch out at least one of the two. (The headband would be the most likely to go. The shoes are Krak-On brand, which means they're more likely to roll Swim Speed Up in their extra slots. I always benefit from being faster.)

Well in a game where there are only two things to chose from, of course one'll be the favorite.
But anyway, as for gear in Splatfest I normally just go with my freshest looking stuff. Like my trusty bomb sniffin' Pro Trail Boots.and my Takoroka Mesh. I normally use them when I need defense, which is normally when I parade around with the Splat Roller. And all of this talk about gear reminds me of when I dressed my Inkling up like a baseball player and bought the Inkbrush as a joke. It didn't go well... I'm bad with the Inkbrush.

Welp, today's the 2nd, and that means Urchin Underpass is officially closed for renovations. x3 (... I think.) I can't wait to see it again once they've finished.
