alright, i have a LOT of feelings about tokyo ghoul, so i hope you don't mind if i seem kinda longwinded!!

DON'T WATCH THE ANIME. I REPEAT, DO NOT WATCH THE ANIME.
it disempowers all of the formerly strong female characters, makes kaneki seem like an imbecile even though he was actually extremely smart, portrays tsukiyama a big joke with no character development, and in general is much worse than the manga.

even if you don't like/read manga, i highly suggest reading it, as it is much better!! touka's whole personality doesn't just revolve around kaneki, tsukiyama actually learns to care for other people and is very sweet and heartfelt, etc. i could keep going on but i don't want to bore you!!

also, for the record, in the manga, kaneki does sorta revert back to his old personality!! (emphasis on sorta)

have you ever seen that guy with the white AND black hair around?? his name's haise sasaki?? yeah, that dude is kaneki, with his memories wiped. he works for the ccg BUT HE IS BACK TO BEING VERY SWEET AND SENSITIVE
HIS SUBORDINATES LITERALLY CALL HIM MAMAN IT IS SO CUTE

fullmetal alchemist and d. gray-man are good mangas!!
they both have a very diverse cast of characters, the plots are amazing and action-packed, and the art work is super detailed!!
dgm also just came off of hiatus too and it is already hurting my heart

i have two friends who are completely obsessed over fairy tail and they have been bugging me for a while to watch it. and so i did that, i watched around 30 episodes but the thing is i think it's too childish, at least for my likes, i don't know.
am i really just sick or does anyone else feel the same way about it?
and for the ones who watch(ed) it, does it get better or not really?
whether it does or not, is it still worth watching until the end?

i have only read one manga so far but i really enjoyed it, so i suggest you to read all you need is kill.
it's pretty short (17 chapters in total) and you can read it in a few hours

i watched it up to 200 episodes of it,
and i rewatched the whole 200 episodes over again and again.
i kinda was getting sick of it, but then it hit me. it was a childish anime.
now in days i watch anime's such as tokyo ghoul.
and fairytale is just full of childish jokes,
and when they kill a character -
if its a main character they bring them back to life.
they only kill characters that you hardly know anything about so it doesn't even matter.
i feel like I've just wasted weeks of my life.

it stops being dubbed around 160 episodes in,
and it just the same things repided but in different forms,
each one trying to be worse then the other. from what your saying i'd say its not,
but who knows. maybe.

exactly, i don't know about the story, but everything about the characters seems childish, from the way they act to the way they dress, I don't know, i found it really hard to keep watching it, it is just not for my age...

guys, all of my friends have been recommending hunterxhunter for me to watch, but idk how good it will be. I think it's the one that hasn't been finished, so I'm a little wary about getting attached to all those characters.

I personally like Fairy Tail. It's not my favorite, but when I want something goofy to watch I watch that. It's similar to One Piece imo but One Piece is better. As a few of you have said, it's a bit childish but there are some intense moments. I don't think it's a waste of time. I think it's a good show to watch when you just completed an anime and don't know what to watch next or if you're in a mood to watch something silly and actiony. I tend to drop it then pick it up weeks later. Haha maybe I'm just simple minded but I tend to enjoy a long range of anime :P

it does look like it has some intense moments, one of these obsessed friends of mine runs an anime blog on tumblr with me and because I intended to drop it I looked at the gifs and images with spoilers that she posted and that's what it looks like but it would take a lot of effort from me to watch it all the way up to episodes 200+ if it kept the childish stuff...
