Fawn soften when she heard that the she-cat was no harm to her kits. Besides, she's a cool warrior! the sentence raced through her mind. Warrior.. Perhaps the she-cat was a warrior from the clan Fawn was looking for. Fawn cleared her voice, trying to make herself sound calm. ''Oh- Well, I am terribly sorry.. Bittertail. I was just looking for a safe den for me and my kits to rest in, and I didn't want them getting tired from walking and searching, '' she meowed. ''As a mother, I should've known better. All I can do is thank you for not harming my kits and looking after them.''

Bittertail dipped her head, understanding although she had never had kits herself. "Of course. They're perfect darlings. However," she continued, "My clanmates may be looking for me, so I must get back to Cinderclan. Take care, but it would be wise to get out of the territory as soon as you can. Not all of us are as forgiving." Bittertail turned to walk away, her tail waving contentedly.
