She tensed when she turned and saw him, he blue eyes frightened as she threw up her arms covering her face. "I'm sorry! Please, I didn't mean to!" Chesiabell said, she relaxed catching a glimpse of his dorky smile though. Her arms still covering her face as she watched him through her pale arms. Her tail smoothly moving back and forth as she swam. He probably was part of a colony around. Knowing he could easily take her away and the leaders could choose what happened o her. "Who are you?" She asked in a small light voice unsure really of what to do.

She admired the design on his tail though, the white coinciding with the blues. He fit right n with the ocean while she suck out like a sore thumb when in shallow waters. Slowly lowering her arms, Chesiabell took a hand and brushed at her hair with her fingers softly as she kept her blue eyes on him.

Flirting was something she rarely ever did and even being so it didn't work the same with other merfolk. So that was out of the question. Let's just hope he wasn't mad or upset...

A while of aimlessly wandering left Mira rather tired, though she was used to it. Her swimming wasn't as fast as the others due to the fact that it was torn on her right fin, the shreds not helping her with swimming. However, it made her silvery blue tail shimmer more, light reflecting at every angle of the torn fin, and that was somewhat a bonus. The raven haired mermaid swam, aiming to get to the colony as quickly as her permanently injured fin would let her.

Phi smiled softly as she swam through a school of colorful fish, a bubble of laughter bursting from her lips as a few of the fish rubbed against her skin. She had been in a rather foul mood this morning until she ran into one of her dolphin friends. It was a large, scarred up male that she called Gus. He always seemed to know how she was feeling. When he had found her he knew she was upset so he brought her out to play. She was currently playing a game of hide and seek with him.
"Oh where are you Gus?" She called out in a sing songy voice, the smile never leaving her lips. She stopped swimming for a moment and scanned the coral around her, her smile widening at the sight of a grey tail. She quickly swam over and grabbed onto the fin on Gus' back. "Got you!" She called out with another laugh. Her honey brown eyes sparkled brightly with happiness.

xxxNormally Merfolk would just up and attack Kit on sight, this, however, was not the case. The dark mermaid hadn't cowered away or tried to attack. First instincts told Kit to go for the kill, but this time he couldn't. He just kept that stupid grin on his face.

xxxWhen he was asked about his name, his grin quickly vanished. Kit shook his head in a "no" gesture and made an "X" with his fingers over his mouth. He hoped that she would assume he was a mute.

She watched him with curiosity as his gesture turned to that of a defiant one. She swam a bit closer to him. "You can't...talk?" She asked softly. Her blue eyes curious as she waited for another confirmation of his unavailability to speak. Chesiabell was in awe that he couldn't speak. "Did a hunter hurt you?" She asked also. She swam around him for further injury.

Even though she didn't know this merman, the rogue still felt bad for him.

People always seemed to think mermaids and mermen were sweet and kind, and a lot of them were if you excluded Caleb Rivers. The young man was the most vibrant looking merman you could find and despite the dangers that came along with it, he loved his tail. It was quite colourful. This was no reason for what he did; caleb was known by legend and lore in these parts, having drowned many people over the years and even taken people who were swimming out too deep and leaving them there. He was very mischevious, though the immense scarring up his back and sides was the reason for all of this. Hunters and fishermen do get ahold of him often seeing as he hates the deep, cold water an preffers to be closer to the surface, and sometimes he's released. However sometimes he's cut with knives, or the netting bites into his skin and luckily he escaped the harpoons so far. The young merman simply glided through the water, unsure what to do with himself on the sunny summer day.

Captain Kidd was simply prepairing the fishing boat for another day, being quite excited about the week's catches. He had been doing quite well, and the people at the marketplace loved him. He fished every day and sold at the market through his younger brother, always getting enough fish to live quite nicely as a part of the middle class. He hated net fishing, and usually just fished traditionally. So far that morning the bottom area of the boat was filling nicely with fish and crustaceans from the traps. He loved his job, and that was clear.

xxx Kit propelled himself back about a foot in the water when the mermaid neared him. He didn't know if she was going to attack or not. Then she began to circle him, and every muscle in his body tensed up! Oh gosh, he sure hoped she didn't notice that he was a fraud! He did his best to remain calm, for if he didn't his heart fair would go up and he would use what was left of the oxygen in his lungs, and he didn't think he would be able to get a breath from his tank with her so close.

xxxWhen the dark mermaid came back around he calmed his looks once again. 'A hunter?!' Was this dark maiden of the sea suspicious of him already?! Keeping an eye on her, he decided to just go with it and nodded his head "yes." Curious as to how she knew about hunters, Kit pointed to her and gave a questioning look.

Chesiabell watched him as he tensed and she realized that he was probably cautious of her being a new stranger... as he pointed to her she was a bit confused of what was being asked of her until she pieced it together. The merman wanted to know about how she knew of hunters. Chesiabell gave a small depleted shrug. "My parents..." She murmured before shrugging it off as she did when it came. Not that she didn't care it was because she didn't like to dwell on them dying right in front of her. Kapoons shooting from the surface of the water as if it was easy.

She let the memory fade, glancing back at him she tossed a somewhat flirty smile. "You must need to go somewhere else now...I'm sorry I kept you." She apologized softly. To be honest she hoped this wouldn't be the last time of them meeting. Maybe she could see him again...but it was a big ocean they lived in.

xxxJust by hearing it was her parents and reading the look on her face, Kit figured that she was a rouge mermaid, wandering the depths of the ocean on her own. Kit almost felt bad for the dark mermaid. Almost. He still knew that deep inside, the instant he revealed himself as a human, hunter or not, she would attack. He had to be cautious around her and all other merfolk. But if this mermaid was indeed a rouge, then she would be of no use to him and his group and they could just rid the world of her quickly.

xxxWhen she suggested that he might need to go somewhere, Kit nodded. But he would need to get going FAST! He figured that the mermaid would be watching him as she left. This would make it rather difficult for him to get back to the boat unnoticed, or even sneak a breath from his air-tank. He decided that he would remain calm and still and wait for the mermaid to leave first.

Nodding she understood she shouldn't linger. He had to be places. She gave a slight hesitant wave and did a small loop before swimming away swiftly. Chesiabell couldn't believe she was just leaving having this was the first merperson she had spoken to other then her parents when she was three years younger. She swam down into the reef far enough down he black tail would look as if it was just a splotchy before laying her chin on the bend of her tail. Her blue eyes followed the small fish and the passing by turtles before back to the fish once more.
