Birchkit

Birchkit crept forward just like Russettree. He stopped where Russettree had and shot forward, but at his small stature he could not leap far enough and missed it by a fox length.

Maplestar

"Make sure your weight is towards the back of your body, you will get more power in your jump." Maplestar watched Russet tree teaching Birchkit and put in her advice after the kit had pounced.

He smiled. "That was great for your first try!" He said praising the small kit. He knew that birchkit would be a great warrior.

Birchkit

Birchkit was caught off guard by his leader and was glad for her advise. He purred at Russettree's praise and returned to a hunting crouch. Birchkit made sure to lower his tail close to the ground and keep it strait. He stalked forward and while making sure to keep his weight back he pounced. He made it much father than last time but was still unable to make the distance shown by Russettree.

Maplestar

"Very good, but remember to keep your eyes on the target. You can not land on something that you don't know the location of." Maplestar thought back to days with her apprentice.

"It's so hard to walk there's tunnels everywhere! It's a good thing Fern taught us how to spot them if we stepped above one we'd be crowfood! Who knows how stable they are! Umm whisper???" Silcence glanced at her sister. "Heloooo? Anyone in there?"

Wisper

Wisper jolted out of though she glanced at her sister apoplecticly," Sorry just thinking about Fern...I ju- just cannot believe..." She trailed off.

Silcence

"I know I'm sorry. At lest we have each other." Silence remembered back...

It was after sun high and Wisper and Silcence where playing in the leaves by the hollow tree den. " Haha can't catch me!" Wisper cried! " Bet I can!" Replied Silcence. Wisper trips on a fallen branch and Silcence falls on top of her. " ahh! Get off you big furball!" Wisper cries. "Sorry hmm I wonder when Ferns coming back. I'm hungry!"
Just then both kits heard a Russell of leaves." FERN!" Both kits cry as the leap toward the sound. However the cat both kits fall into isnt Fern..

Silcence jolts back into reality and shakes her self. No, I won't remember that part! She padds after Wisper disapering into the forest.

"Tabbyfang, please, join me in me den." Maplestar led Tabbyfang into the cave and sat down on the moss bedding. "I know you don't want to talk about this but you have to some time." Maplestar paused for a moment, gathering her words, "it's about time you moved into the nursery and let another cat take the role of deputy while you are there."

After Maplestar had left, Birchkit resumed practicing his hunting crouch.

Lilypaw

"The only thing I can do is help Ashpaw and Maplebreeze, at least you can't scare away all the herbs!" Lilypaw hadn't been hunting well lately and the mouse would have been her best catch.

Owlpaw

Owlpaw didn't like how Lilypaw hated when he jumped on her. "Fine I'll find someone who knows how to have fun." He stomped off into the forest.
