you are slowly opening your eyes to the night sky dotted with stars. you blink a few times, unsure of this unfamiliar enviroment you found yourself in. getting up, you hear paper shuffling somewhere beside you. you spot a paper with a name next to you, a name you've never heard of. this is starting to freak you out. soon enough, you find a letter explaining how and why are you here, and it all starts to make sense.

one. site rules. site does rule, but you will follow it's rules too.
two. two chars per person max. also, you may have one male and one female character only, and one human and shifter only.
three. all reservations must be pm-ed to me. first come first serve.
four. five plus sentences per post (including dialogue). this is a semi-lit rp, respect that.
five. proper grammar, please. also, no text talk in rp. in ooc it's okay. also, semi-lit, again.
six. i'd be glad if you excluded your siggies. makes the roleplay look cleaner. you don't have to, actually. it's a pain to scroll down everytime, at least for me, lol.
seven. you may pick your match (aka arrange it with the owner), but you should inform me about this. also, drama & romance is highly encouraged. (no crushing on your own chars)
eight. you can and are encouraged to ask anything on discussion thread. also, feel free to pm me.
nine. no perfect characters/god modding/powerplaying. you can shift in one animal and one animal only. humans (guardians) have the power of talking to the animals of the same kind as their shifter.

it is the year of 2075, the reality is bent to its final borders. there have been very special creatures discovered among humans. the shapeshifters. the shapeshifters are feared for their short temper, and the power unleashed when it runs out. the shifters are hardly ever controllable. therefore they are incredibly powerful.
the shifters are extremely rare. a shifter can be recognized by a mark on their right wrist when they are born, a small x. when a shifter was born, the council of the governments would lock them up so that they wouldn't bring death and destruction like their ancestors.
however, after some time this principle became ineffective. people were afraid to have children because they could be taken away. also, a few chidren with marks never shifted at the age of 17, a normal age for a shifter to shift for the first time.
after many years of research the council found that certain humans were able to restrain certain shifters. for each shifter there was a person that fit perfectly with them, and was able to help them control their inner shift. those people were called guardians. they were born with an x on their left wrist and always the opposite gender from their shifter.
from the moment they turned seven, they developed an ability to speak to the animals the same kind of the one of their shifter's, they were trained to be able to train their shifter and help them control their shifting and bloodlust. not all guardians were happy with that destiny, while some were glad they found their purpose. after their 17th birthday they were sent to a secret base island to meet their shifter, and train them. once the shifter was fully in control of their animal, they were both allowed to go back into the society. however, most shifters and guardians never parted, as best friends or lovers, because of their natural harmony.
what will you do? what will you do once on the island? how will you handle your guardian/shifter?

since the guardians and their shifters must be the same age, i'd prefer all the characters to be 17 so that they're meeting for the first time.
if you want to make a character who is already acquaintenced with their match, you have to pm me & your targeted match. YOU CAN'T BE YOUR OWN MATCH. also, it's absolutely not neccesary to fall in love with your match, or another of your kind, or anyone. but, uh, drama.

meet evangeline collins.
eva is a very unhappy guardian. she never wanted to be a guardian. she never wanted this life for herself. and yet, she was born for that.
she hated that, being treated as if her only purpose was to be there for her shifter, someone she'd never even met.
however, as years passed she accepted her destiny. she even grew excited to meet her shifter, because she would give him a hell of a challenge. eva is a very determined person. when she sets her mind on one goal, nothing can tear her away from it. she also has pretty clear thoughts that leave no room for panic of any kind, thus her calmness. she tends to be outgoing and loves socializing, but doesn't give her trust out easily. eva is very sympathetic and semsitive, but hides it behind a straight face. but also picks fights with no problem - she's the yelling kind. if you hurt her once, she will get revenge. she never forgets. she also likes to be in control of situation at hand. she hates it when people don't listen to her or ask her to prove herself. eva's big mouth got her in a lot of trouble. most of all, evangeline loves challenges. pushing her limits is her favorite hobby.
