how long do you think a final draft should take to be ready for publishing?

Hmmm.. I would say at least 3 weeks, but that's just me. If it were me, I'd have to read things over about 10,000 times to make it absolutely perfect. Then I'd delete and add things and.. yeah. I, personally, can be a perfectionist in areas like this, so it would take me probably a while.

I started a new story!
I am honestly very excited for this plot I have in mind. I thought of it at 1 am when I couldn't sleep, but I still think the story might come out nicely.
