To her surprise Luke took the seat next to her. Seriously,
what was going on. Baylynne listened to Luke as he told her about his
classes. Maybe he smarter than he let on, "You're in advanced literature?"
She looked into his eyes trying to see is maybe he was joking, "Me too"
There was no sign. As luke continued to speak Baylynne reached into her
backpack to pull out a clean new notebook. She knew they'd be taking lots
of notes in this class so she liked to be prepared. A party? Even though
there was nothing funny that was just said she couldn't help but laugh,
"You're not serious are you?" Seeing that he was in fact being serious
she let out a quick sigh. And here it goes again. The explanation of her
nonexistent social life outside of school, "Yeah no, I think I'm going to have
to pass on your offer. I'm never seen at parties because I don't go to parties"
She took a small pause and continued, "I'm not allowed to go to parties" When
Baylynne would tell people that she's not allowed to go to parties they always
thought she was joking and just making up and excuse not to go anywhere. In
reality it isn't an excuse. Her parents just don't allow her to go out to parties.
Baylynne sat there waiting for Luke to probably laugh in her face because again,
whose parents don't allow their 18 year old child to hang out with friends?

he grabbed a random black notebook out of his
backpack and put it in front of him with a black pen. ben had
taken him to buy supplies the night before. "well i would
love to sneak you out, should you be willing. and maybe you will
like the party, there's usually a pool, bounce house, trampoline,
and then the party itself inside. you know, with alcohol it can
be fun, but i find it more fun to just pretend to be buzzed, and
just drink soda or iced tea the whole time." he said,
admitting the last part with a small partly embarrassed giggle.
he was really hoping he could convince her to come along, so she
could get a glimpse of the scene. "and if you
say you aren't interested in it, you know you're lying to yourself.
you're just thinking too much. because curiosity killed the cat,
and satisfaction brought it back."

estion, rubbing the back of his neck.
michael heard the faint sound of a b
ell, his eyes widening as he turned a

grabbing his arm and dragging him
towards the school building, pushin
g past the doors and to the hallway
s. the students were quickly disapp
earing to their classrooms.

Calum looked at the bag of colourful gummy bears and looked back up at her, wondering if she did something to them but then remembered she was eating them herself. He smiled and nodded slightly, grabbing a couple in his large hands. He ate the 2 red ones first, an old habit of his. "I agree, that's why I wasn't thinking of skipping today until I saw what I had the period after lunch." He groaned, but hopefully he had at least one of the boys in the class. "Alright, the bell rang 5 minutes ago, where is the teacher?" he sighed, always impatient. He hates waiting on people. "These sophomores don't look too.. friendly?" He chuckled a little bit, noticing the glances he got from the students in the grade below him.

Okay. This day was officially the weirdest first day of school.
Just before speaking the bell finally rang, meaning class would start soon. She knew
that with Luke she wouldn't get by with just staying quiet. He would probably keep
asking and bothering her about this stupid party. Baylynne pressed her lips together
as she looked at him and thought of an excuse that would stop anymore talking of
this party. "Going to parties aren't in my interest. I rather spend the night reading
or simply studying," she took a small pause to look at his icy blue eyes. How is it
possible for someone to have such mesmerizing eyes? "Plus, I don't want to face the
wrath of my parents if I ever went to a party" If she were to even act up her parents
would probably put in under lockdown and who knows what else. Baylynne turned her
attention away from Luke and over to her notebook. She turned to the first clean page
and titled the paper with today's date. As she did this Luke's words repeated in her head
'curiosity killed the cat, and satisfaction brought it back'. In all honestly. There was a point
in her life when she wanted to go to parties. Be like everyone else. Later she realized that
there was no point in these parties and they were simply a waste of time. By now the room
was mostly filled and their teacher finally walked in, "Good morning class" was the first
thing she said to them before going to her desk. While Baylynne tried to seem done with
the conversation with Luke every so often she would glance over to him.

Oh thank goodness, "Me too, at least we have 1st period together" He told him
just as the bell finally rang. Ashton laughed as Michael dragged him inside the building, "We better
hurry Mikey" Finally after rushing through the halls the two boys arrived just in time before the tardy
bell. Instantly when he walked in he noticed a girl in the front. She was either new to the school or
he's never really seen her before. Ashton turned his attention away before it became obvious that
he was staring. Ashton walked with Michael over to the middle of the room and took a seat. He pulled
out a new notebook from his backpack and placed it on his desk. Being the idiot he can be, Ashton
realized he forgot to bring pencils and even a pen to school. It's the first day of school and he forgot
something to write with.. Who does that. Ashton looked over at Michael and whispered, "Michael"
once he got his attention he continued to talk, "Do you have a pencil I can borrow?" He was sure
Michael was going to tease him about not having anything to write with. Which he was fine with
because seriously? A pencil and paper basically the only thing you need to get through school, yet
he forgot one of the two.
