ah, the wonderful writer's block

I am having the opposite problem, where I want to write everything but I have no ideas..
It's getting to be really annoying..
maybe I shouldn't watch tons of movies right before I want to write
I swear my brain just copies everything I see or hear, and makes it slightly different.
Then I don't realize that it's a total copy of the movie until I've already thought it all out...

As for beginnings of stories,
I usually try and go for something with the main character doing something random.
I don't know, but it's things like that that will catch a reader's attention. (well, it'll catch mine anyway.)
or you can just sort of describe the things you don't know how to describe. that way you can just jump in where you need to.

I think it really depends on whether or not the author thinks its ready to be sent out.
