Every part of her body was on fire. That wasn't an unusual feeling that would develop when travelling in the wastelands, but this was much worse. Liquid trailed from her forehead down to underneath her chin, she ignored the tingling sensation it gave when traveling across her skin and continued to limp across the barren dirt. It was a hopeless act, but she couldn't give up. She wasn't going to just die in the middle of nowhere, not after everything that she had accomplished.
Her gear stuck to her skin from the sweat and blood that came from too many parts of her body. Rosa felt like her left leg was about to give out when she caught sight of a small house in the distance. Could it be a mirage? Had she gotten to the point where she was hallucinating now? She shook her head and decided that what she was seeing was the honest to God truth. Even if what she saw was real anyone could be living in there, from thieves to murderers, but she was just about dead anyway. She slowly hobbled toward the building, trying to keep her balance and sanity all at the same time.
She reached the small building and somehow gave the door a solid knock. She found it hard to stand, so she slumped against the wall directly next to the door. Rosa wasn't even sure what wounds she suffered from, she looked down at herself through blurry vision, trying to piece the puzzle back together. There was a long gash down her leg, a bullet wound in her side, and a throbbing head wound that wouldn't let her think straight. Not that she had been thinking straight when she tried to fight off that group of bandits to regain ... what was she even trying to do? Further her confidence maybe? All she did know was that she had fought the lot of them off suffering the wounds that were killing her at the moment, and had accidentally eaten some radiated food that was worsening her head wound.
To a stranger she would probably seem like a reckless scavenger, perhaps it was time to change her title from 'somehow still alive orphan' to 'officially insane,' as if they weren't the same thing already. Rosa wasn't religious, she didn't like to believe that there was a God in a world that would take someone's family away from them. Even with that in mind, she gave a small prayer because she was desperate. She didn't want to die. Her eyes slowly slid shut as her consciousness finally lost it's grip.

Drip... drip... drip. The water delivering system had been broken for a long time, the so called oasis was run down, it's current image not even close to it's past glory. He felt the not so desirable sensation of a droplet of water hitting his already sweaty forehead, his eyes slowly opening as he ran his hand over the top of his head, ruffling his hair. He straightened up into a sitting position, leaning against the wall with a not so happy grin playing on his face as he heard the loud knock on the door.
He stood up unwillingly as the knocking became louder and unbearable to his sensitive ears which were not used to any kind of loud noise. He hesitated but slowly left the dark room, passing over the soggy carpet as fast as he could, the whole house feeling more like a chamber than a place that could be inhabited by human beings. Being that he waited a little longer than he should in the hallway, most of his weight resting on one leg, just then he heard the doctor yell as loud as he could: "Open the door you foul being, we've got visitors!" That raspy voice made him feel sick whenever he heard it and just now he felt the need to leave. But instead he approached the door, pushed down onto the door knob and opened it. A feeling of surprise climbed up through his body and left a mark on his face, his eyebrows furrowed as he silently helped the girl inside, thinking about how she would've done better if she had stayed outside, died in peace instead of slowly rotting away, to the point where the only think she'd feel would be regret. He rested her down onto the hard, cold ground, the grounds flooring being mostly metal which was corroded in most places. He felt as if his life was a series of not so fortunate events and perhaps that was the thing that tied the fate of one to the other.
He lightly sighed as he kneeled down. "What brings you here traveller? I thought that the fliers for the Oasis were long gone and we haven't posted any other around. I do see that you're wounded, but.. You would've done better away from this hellhole." He ignored her reaction as he straightened up, straightening up his expression and rushing down the hallway, turning right to the end of the hallway and knocking on the door. After a lot of mumbling he came back, soon after an old man following up behind him. The man looked assertive, his age had no impact on how he acted, he seemed absent minded at most times, but yet usually acting as if he was cheery and dramatic. Garrett was the opposite of the doctor, mostly dull and a pain to be around, with fits of anger. He was rather discreet with what he did and easily irritable as he wasn't used to company of many, to most he seemed negative, never passionate about anything that he ever did, reliable at first sight, but all he ever cared about was himself. The doctor was obnoxious nonetheless.
Garrett quietly stepped to the side, the doctor cheerfully greeting the young woman and assuring her that she now is in safe hands. He felt disgusted by how naive the girl was, her eyes filled with relief. But yet something drove him, a force that he wasn't familiar with and that force drove him to do things that he never thought he would, the girl seemed as a seed of hope to him in his dull life, she was his escape, his direct contact to the outer world and he wasn't going to let her slip away, she was his ticket to the wasteland. "Have you found us only by chance or are there fliers still around? I'll make sure that those wounds get stitched up and healed in no time." The doctor spoke in an overly cheerful voice, slightly raspy and worn out.

It seemed that she was lost in between the thin veil that was unconsciousness and consciousness, it was hard to differentiate between what was real and what wasn't. For example, the stranger helping her in? Most likely real, hopefully real. The other thing? The lurking deathclaw in the corner, probably not real. She heard herself mutter something, nonsense more than likely. As she was helped inside she tried to get her eyes to focus on what was real, but trying to focus only made her head throb more intensely. The stranger lowered her onto the cold ground, and every bit of her skin that touched it was shocked with the lack of heat. Who helped her in? Where was she?
When he spoke to her she tried as hard she could to comprehend his words. Something about flyers and a hellhole. After he walked away the words hit her and she understood. What kind of place would be called Oasis if it was a hellhole? Although, there were hardly any places left in the world that weren't hellholes so she understood that much. Some of her senses regained themselves, it was most likely the dull environment around her that didn't make her body work so hard to comprehend it all. Rosa looked around, what she saw wasn't extremely pleasant, but it wasn't that bad either. She made sure to note where she had come in from in case she needed to make a quick escape. Whoever had brought her in still wasn't back yet, she took the opportunity to make sure that her hunting rifle was still strapped to her shoulder. It was. In her condition any attacker could probably overtake her easily, but she could still at least put up a fight. The blonde leaned forward and rested her weight on her elbows when she heard voices come from down the hall.
When another man came up to her and started talking her eyes flicked to the original person that had helped her in. The overly enthusiastic attitude the man held was worrying, but he claimed that he was able to fix her, so maybe she could get that much out of the so called 'Oasis.'
"I found you two completely accidentally," She told them with a neutral expression on her face, Rosa still had no idea if she could trust them yet, "Thank you for taking me in." Her head was still pounding, but she felt well enough to sit up entirely. When she did she received a rush to the head and sucked in breath painfully. When she was out in the wasteland and received injuries like the ones she had now she would usually just go to a town doctor, but she was too far away from a town. The other alternative was using a stimpak, but those only did so much to heal. They couldn't exactly mend her broken rib or the deep laceration in her thigh. Those both needed a doctor's expertise. "So," her voice was a bit raspy from not having water in a while and being out in the desert, "What's the deal with this place?" She looked around with mock curiosity, having already looked around before when they were out of the room. Rosa had no idea if the doctor and his assistant were some sort of act, if they were then she was giving on a bit of her own.
