"I don't think that you have to take care of the elder's den, I think that we have to take care of it even more!" Nightpaw chuckled. Then Batpaw asked about Thunderpaw's injuries. "Not really, he got a scratch on his cheek but its probably not bleeding anymore." she answered, watching over his shoulder to see what he was doing.

batpaw wasn't sure why he felt responsible for it. maybe it was because the realization that maturity took time dawned on him. we have to work together to survive and protect. everyone has flaws... and some smooth out with time. control your temper, batpaw. not everyone has the same destiny, and not everyone has the same point of view. it's what makes use unique. the ebony tom shifted a little. this thing with nightpaw was completely normal. no harm. just two apprentices trying to survive in a warrior's world. oh wait- make that three. thunderpaw. once more, the tall ebony tom's whiskers twitched.

then, as if reading his mind, nightpaw cheerily stated we. "if it doesn't interfere with anything," the ebony tom stated, turning in her direction, the smile prominent. he actually liked taking care of the older ones. and that feeling doubled now that he had company. "alright. i'll stick some cobweb to it whenever he decides to show." offering her some moss, batpaw stood, almost bumping into her. "sorry," he mewed automatically.

Nightpaw shook her fur. "So, have you eaten already?" she asked since the tom stayed quiet. She was really hungry and was hoping to eat with Batpaw

"no. i kind of felt bad taking prey off the pile without hunting," batpaw admitted, his tone a bit sheepish. "want to grab some prey before we start cleaning?" thinks have changed since i'm med cat apprentice. and i think nightpaw deserves a meal after what happened today.

Bearstar approached the Apprentices, she was seething with rage now that they were back, and the worst of it? They were wounded. She felt completely betrayed and infuriated, she couldn't even believe what she was seeing. "Seriously? Really?" Bearstar started off, with a low snarl in the depths of her throat. "You'll be cleaning everyone's nest for the next moon, you'll be gathering herbs for the next moon as well, following the Medicine Cat's every order." She knew she'd delay their Warriorship if they even began to deny her results to their stupidity.

"Sure! And you're a meadicine apprentice, you don't need to hunt because you do so much for the clan anyways!" Nightpaw purred. She padded out to the fresh kill pile, picking up a vole.

[yeeee.]

batpaw's maw fly open, but closed it again. control your temper. licking his maw, he spoke slowly. "i apologize, bearstar. please allow me to explain. we went to the forest to hunt and collect herbs with firefly. thunderpaw and nightpaw were attacked by rogues- currently cherrytail, solsticetalon and swiftclaw are out there with them. and... did firefly tell you?" the ebony tom kept his voice level, his slate eyes locked on the leader although his nape prickled. would he be punished for trying to explain?

Nightpaw stood next to Batpaw. She blinked her eyes thankfully to him. If Bearstar would get mad at batpaw she'd tell the whole thing.

Thunderpaw shrunk back as Bearstar appeared and scolded Nightpaw.

The brown cat felt her fur raise, "even though I saw you three leave camp without a Warrior, I watched the entire thing this morning." Bearstar glanced, seeing Thunderpaw but said nothing, she'd deal with him, he was clearly able to hear what she was saying. "Firefly told me nothing, there is no explanation for this, this is completely intolerable. You know the threat that is presented beyond this entrance, yet you go out there deliberately against my orders. You have to have a Warrior with you at all times, there is no excuse for that. If I catch this again you will definitely be held back from being Warriors" She looked to Batpaw, "not to mention you'll be held back from being a Medicine Cat for many-many moons." Bearstar was rather angry, she was almost completely out of it, things were going terrible and there was no order.
