"Because they don't want the rouges to find camp," she replied simply as they reached the destination. Ashpaw looked at the rouges hoping to see them startled.

"they could split up and lay false trails... don't they remember emergency training?" cherrytail said, trying to keep the frustration out of her voice. shaking her head, the molly's whiskers twitched. "don't answer that ashpaw." the red molly cut off as she saw the scene. her turquoise and golden eyes laid on the smallest rogue there- as tempted as she was to speak, she remained silent. let the deputy handle this one.

creekpaw stayed completely still, unsure of what exactly he would do if he saw his old clan members. tell them that they actually exiled the wrong cat? ask them to take him back? break down and cry? any of those options seemed possible at the moment.

firefly frowned as batpaw spoke. when he finished, the medicine cat padded forward gently and placed his muzzle on batpaw's shoulder and put his tail around his shoulders, enveloping him in a hug. "you'll always be important, especially to me," he whispered gently. "never say otherwise,"

batpaw, at first was worried when no response came. then, the sudden warmth. it was so reassuring, so sudden it made him gasp in slight surprise. but then the smile returned. somehow, that simple gesture chased away the pain. "thanks firefly. for everything," the ebony tom murmured, relaxing in the hug. it was nice to have a mentor that understood. a strange kind of warmth that he had never experienced. i think things will be better here on out. now i just have to get by bearstar and thunderpaw... and nightpaw...

Solsticetalon looked at Cherrytail as she burst out. "Bring it together Cherrytail." He snapped as he sensed the worry in her tone. After he turned around he saw the scene in front of him, 3 rouges and Thunderpaw and Nightpaw. He stepped forward to take the initiative. "Thunderpaw, Nightpaw get over here." He growled in anger and then unsheathed his claws as he turned his cold stare to the three rogues.

Thunderpaw gulped and his head hung low as he quickly padded to the deputy's side.

"nice to see you again, solsticetalon," creekpaw mewed finally, standing up and licking his paws gently as he began to feel the tension that was evidently in the air.

Nightpaw
Nightpaw padded behind Thunderpaw.

Frost
Frost saw the patrol and she stood up. She unsheathed her long claws and got ready to attack if necessary.

Crystalwing
Crystalwing padded after the other patrol. When they arrived to the destination she gasped. "Is that really Creekpaw?" she thought.

Swiftclaw
Swiftclaw stood next to Solsticetalon, his claws unsheathed.
