On the topic of lag, earlier, I was watching Ocean play online (yes, we watch each other play a lot x3), and with absolutely no warning, the match was cut of, supposedly due to a communication error. It was a bit odd, since, for us, at least, everything usually gets extremely laggy and weird first. o3o

yeah, i usually get lag first too, but sometimes it does just cut off!
just out of curiosity, with a supposedly decent internet connection, how often do you get communication errors?

Our internet connection is actually really good, it seems, so we don't experience those sorts of errors very often. When we do, it usually seems to be because others are lagging too much with their connections, or sometimes, Nintendo's servers themselves are having some technical difficulties. o3o The latter scenario usually only happens when there are Splatfest levels of activity online, though.

I actually started playing Splatoon in a hotel. I was super excited and did a few versus battles before I went online. Now, this is the free hotel internet, I think you can guess what happens next. I got to play a few games online, but handed it over to my brother, who finished the story mode that night, I think. It was much better during the day then at night when I was playing it at first.

Thats funny, I'm a few mins I think I'm going to be traveling to a hotel to go to an amusement park.

Yeah, I was playing earlier too and had some communication errors...

Anyone else know that tomorrow (I think we are getting new weapons and a new lvl cap? (lvl 50)

Actually, I had no idea until you mentioned it. xD After reading, though, it seems that the update is actually coming on August 6th.
In any case, we're not getting just any weapons; supposedly, they're entirely new weapons of (a) new class(es) altogether. OwO;
Actually, I have a hunch about what the new weapons/classes are. I've read about some mysterious, completely-different weapons that were recently featured in a Japanese trailer. They're unlike any other weapon we currently have. Some people most likely want to keep it a surprise, so I'll put the following in invisible text, but the weapons I saw were a Gatling gun-like weapon and... and ink bucket. I'm serious; it's a literal bucket of ink that you throw at your enemies. xD If that's what's coming, I'm pretty excited. I mean, I'm already excited either way, but yeah. o3o
Also, apparently, we're getting a bunch of new gear, too. NEW GEAR. *Squee*
They said something about "new matchmaking options" or something like that, too. I get this feeling that this is the update we've been hearing about, where we'll get more options when playing with friends. EXCITEMENT. ;3;

Also, I'm a little curious about what the level 50 cap could mean. I wonder if there are some never-before-seen features that you can unlock by raising your level past 20? (By features, I mean like, for example, how Spyke allows you to add and change your gear's abilities once you reach level 20.)

Oh, I was watching a video yesterday and I thought it said tomorrow but I guess I was wrong There might be new maps too, one might be called Barracuda Bridge.

Oyeah; I saw a picture of a mysterious stage, too, and it did indeed look like a humongous suspension bridge. That must be it, then. I love it so much when they add new stages. <3 (I wonder what the Squid Sisters will have to say about this one? I always love hearing their little comments when they announce the current stages. xD)
