Xero practically raised himself, and that was not a good idea on his parents part. They knew he was a shifter, and kept him hidden for most of his life. He ran away a little after her turned ten, old enough to know how to get food and such.

Subdominant Shift: His less used form is a Maltese/Blue Tiger. Yes, this is a color for this breed of tiger and is extremely rare and endangered. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Personality: Yuri is the kind of person that refuses to back away from any sort of fight, be it a careless brawl or a fight to the death. He is utterly reckless and is unashamed to admit so, and although he is perceptive, his own feelings are often elusive to others who don't know and understand him so well. That being said, Yuri is not an 'emotionless rock'; rather than keep a blank mask, he often keeps himself quite entertained by annoying those who dislike him or his wording of things. He is quite the generous person, as well; if someone needs something he has, he'll give it without an issue.
He is ambidextrous and an expert with the sword, more commonly a one-handed blade or a katana. His fighting style consists of swift, elegant twists and twirls of both body and blade in a well-practiced dance, swift and unyielding, though with long-ranged attacks from things such as a bow or gun of some sort can easily defeat him. He is a front-runner, not a long-distance attacker, of course. However, he hardly fights, as his role is that of a hunter.

Personality: Julius, when in the mindset of working, can be a very distant and crisp person. In his element, he is focused on nothing but his work, and is far from afraid to be brisk and cold to someone if they are distracting him from it. However, when he isn't enveloped in working, he can be quite likable; he enjoys talking when he can, and sometimes can be quite playful if he knows someone well enough and is comfortable with them. Mostly, though, he sees co-workers as nothing but co-workers, and rarely makes small-talk unless there is virtually nothing to be done. He fights with twin blades primarily, and has enough skill to be quick as well as precise with his attacks. He can be unyielding and cruel when dealing with disobedient subjects, as well.
Background: Julius' father and mother were distant parents; as a child, he was sheltered and pumped full of information on nothing but shifters--their tendencies, their genetic codes, and nothing positive; to Julius, it was implanted that they were evil things that needed studying, analysis, and deserved no mercy. Both of his parents passed away when a shifter had broken out of its restraints in the middle of analysis and experimentation in the laboratory they had been working in, and since then, Julius has confirmed that all he'd been taught was true. He began to follow in their footsteps and hunt after the shifters--namely, the group said to have been located somewhere in the massive forest several miles from their laboratory.

Personality: Jude is a very gentle, kind soul when he isn't in any form of distress; in fact, he's quite friendly, but usually a bit reserved when it comes to strangers. He loves to read and study up on things involving the sciences, and maintains a rather high intelligence thanks to it. His two shifts are not very good for combat, but quite useful for stealthily sneaking about to find supplies he may need when other members of the group are unable to find them, or when he just needs to be alone and off by himself(which isn't too often, given how comfortable he is in the group now). As a fighter in his physical form, he is a force to be reckoned with; for self-defense, he is incredibly skilled with martial arts, and knows how to fight back if the camp is invaded and he needs to defend any patients he is taking care of. As quiet and easy-to-fluster as he is, Jude is definitely bold and strong enough to keep himself easily underestimated in many different ways.
Background: Jude was born to two parents who held high experience in the medical field, and had high hopes to follow in their footsteps. At age seven, he was already well-equipped in the sciences and knew various remedies and cures to certain infections, wound treatments, and sicknesses, and overall had an incredibly high intelligence. However, this led to him not being the most social of children; instead, he was bullied extensively, and outcast with no friends. When his parents finally came to realize that he was not a full human, they were filled with mixed emotions; his mother was fearful, but still loved her child, and his father was overall disgusted. Still, they seemed to cherish him enough to not turn him in like other families did. Instead, they threw him out one night just weeks after his eighth birthday, providing him with supplies to at least survive for a little while. Distraught, Jude struggled to live on his own and fled to the deep outskirts of the home he'd once lived in, and stumbled upon the slowly growing group of fellow shifters--and that is where he lives today.

Flynn is forgiving, to say the least. It's a wonder he got his job in the first place, and even moreso that he was chosen for the rank he was. He prefers to work independently from many of the other scientists and tends to be a bit more naive and happy-go-lucky about what is actually going on in the laboratories -- however, this is simply what he seems like. He knows quite well what goes on, just prefers to look towards the better. He typically uses this sort of mask not only to bring up the morale of his colleagues, but to guise as a regular human (or even a lost shifter).
Despite the lying, he is rather laid back, although his temper can occasionally get the better of him, and when it does no one seems to be friend to him. Of course, only a select few people can push his buttons rather easily, as he tends to ignore the rest. If he can get mad at you easily, that usually means you at least are important in some way to him, a sort of backwards logic, but that's him.
However, he is rather easily guilt-tripped and doesn't see through lies very easily, either. Flynn's a bit conflicted about his current...occupation, but that doesn't make him any less of a friend to shifters, really.

Typically having a cigarette in his mouth 80% of the time, Curtis is rather laid back and calm. He has a little sympathy for the shifters but not much; unlike Knox, he views them at least somewhat human and will actually occasionally stand between a scientist that is harming one. This is, of course, only if said scientist doesn't outrank him or have authority over him, since otherwise it may interfere with his job, which he would rather keep; it pays quite nicely.
He tends to be rather forgetful and oftentimes has to rush to get things finished due to forgetting to do them.

Despite his appearance, Knox is rather cold and doesn't mind hurting someone - especially shifters - one bit. There are rumors going around saying that he will purposely allow a shifter to escape a holding cell or the building, only to be watching and catch them again purely for the fun of it. He doesn't feel guilty at all for being an experimenter; after all, he doesn't view shifters as fully human.
No one really knows what fuels his dislike for the shifters and the pleasure he has capturing them and holding them; in truth, it is nothing but purely not liking what they are, not jealousy or things that happened in the past. He views himself as better than them, being an actual human and not a two-faced creature, and apparently has quite a bit of pride over this fact. He tends to smoke occasionally.

Meet Jenna Hyman, or J for short. She is a 17 year old bisexual female, and the Leader of the Shifter camp. Her dominant shift is a least weasel,and her subdominant shift is a kodkod. She isn't very trusting, but is a natural born leader who can easily take charge. She is afraid of the Scientists and thunder. When she was younger, around 7, her younger sister turned her over to the scientists. After a few years, and experiments, she managed to escape, going into hiding for two years. After revealing herself to someone she trusted fully, she was turned in again. She spent three years in captivity before a fluke in security allowed her to be set free. She isn't crushing on anyone, nor does she have a significant other.
