How long does it normally take for a mod to review a post? (No pressure mods!)

It can take from a few hours to a whole day; it depends on how busy the moderators are.

Also, I forgot to add that if a post needs approval even after your first post has already been approved, it is likely that the picture came form a blacklisted site and needs to be approved by a moderator to make sure it doesn't contain inappropriate content.

Not all sites are blacklisted, but there isn't a public list. However, I always use Tinypic to upload images to CS and I've never had a problem with that.

Just a suggestion/question, the reason we can't take the pets from inactive accounts is because they might come back on one day and want their pets. However, why not send a user an email from CS after 1-2 years of being inactive, they can either ignore it and stay inactive or quit. I know some problems with this is the amount of users there are inactive but is there any chance of that happening? maybe a new type of staff position could be opened up and called like researcher or something. I was just wondering if there are any reasons (excluding all the work) that this project hasn't been started?

Not sure what a staff member would say, but I think they won't do this since there are a bunch of reasons that a person would not see the email:

• circumstances IRL that prevent the user from checking email (e.g. illness)
• switched to a new email address (for any reason) and deleted the old one but didn't get onto CS to change the email address (for any reason; for example, my dad blocked CS for over a year and forbid me from accessing CS at other people's houses or the library or via proxies; considering that CS is family-friendly and welcomes younger players, this could easily be a real problem among the kids with parents that try to make their children focus entirely on academics and extracurriculars with no free time)
• email got hacked and is not recoverable for some reason
• the person's email is really busy and they just skip over the email
• the email from CS is marked as spam email or is even automatically deleted (for any reason; e.g. some email providers try to make "smart" filters that detect patterns in which emails you move in and out of your spam folder and trash folder, but they might be trigger-happy and super sensitive)

Work and problems.
Say someone makes an account. Possibly a young child. They play for a little bit then get bored. When they come back, wouldn't it be nice to still have all their pets? Why take those away when there is already places where users can get many different older pets. The pound, Dec 18th and trading.
That and what you are asking is a ridiculous amount of work for something we already have in place.

Got a newbie question here, and I feel really dumb for having to ask - but I couldn't find anything about this in the FAQ area.

I joined just a few days ago, and seem to be having a bit of difficulty with the forums. I submitted a post to the holiday trading thread to try and cull some duplicates in exchange for holiday pets that I don't yet have. I received the 'awaiting mod approval' message, as I did with several bumps I tried to put through yesterday evening in some free adoption threads. While I was never notified that my post was approved, I did receive a trade that I had requested, so I am thinking that the post must be visible to someone. However, despite searching every page, the post is not visible to me. I had been searching for it to edit the items that were no longer available and update the trade. 'My Posts' contains a link to that thread, but alas, nothing is actually there that I can locate and modify.

What am I missing? Is the post not yet approved? If this is so, why was someone able to respond to it? And, if others can see it, why am I unable to? I have searched through my forum settings and was unable to locate anything that might be related to this.

I know my account may say I've been here for nearly a year, but, unfortunately, I haven't really been on CS enough in order to know what things are for, what they do, etc. As a result I have a few questions I need to ask, if that's OK..:

1. I've tried all the things that came to mind, but I can't seem to figure out how we add pets to our wishlist. I know I have one on there, but, I have to admit, I was even more of a newb to CS and I had no idea what it was I was doing.

2. I've been wanting to earn some C$ for the store pets 'n' all, but I didn't know how. Once I realized I could post drawings on here, I thought about doing commissions, if that's allowed. I went to "Oekaki Boards" and pressed "New Drawings" but when I got there, it said I needed to download Java. I did, and went back, but it still said I had to download Java. What is it I need to do now? Did I do something wrong,,?

3. As far as I know, this is my last question, but I'll be sure to come back here if I have anymore, again, if that's OK. My last question is, I know how to search up forums. But I was wondering, can we search up other users, as well?
