~Training Day Nine~
Veilyn is more afraid of birds than I thought... I got a duckling and tried to introduce her to it, but she didn't want any part of it. This is quite depressing, as I thought she would warm up to it quicker, like she did with me... Sort of. I've been trying to get her used to people all day, as you probably assumed, but I've made little progress. However, I did find that she seems to like children and babies more than adults, which leads me to believe she loves all things that could be considered primarily defenseless. I find this interesting, because it seems that anything that would be able to fight her is on her list of fears, and anything she'd be able to take in a fight is on her list of tolerances. Well, except birds and fish, that is, which is the only fault in my speculation, unless she happened to meet, say, a piranha or some type of large, scary-looking bird which triggered her fear. I'll be looking into this a bit further, and hopefully I'll be able to find something out. I might even do some research on her origins if I can find any of her records, because if anything holds the key to fixing her problems, it would be to know what caused them.
