"I think I caught Kitten cough," Batpaw said keeping his milky gaze on his paws. It was that swim. It had to be... for some reason, he felt a bit foolish admitting his ailment out loud. Not thinking of much else to say, he altered his gaze, but not before a bitter thought entered his mind. What if a kit gets sick and I'm blamed?

"Hm.. You could try checking by the river for coltsfoot. It grows well near water." WindTail meowed to
him before turning his attention to the fish in the river. Slowly his paw lifted, but as soon as the
shadow of his paws went over the fish, the pikes swam away in a hurry.

Batpaw nodded obediently, before padding upriver doing his best to keep from sighing aloud. Really, he still had no idea what he was going to do. It troubled him. Sniffing out the coltsfoot, he began to chew on it idly, his mind obviously elsewhere. I wonder what's happened at the clan. What did Ravenstar announce, and what rumors have begun to spread?

The medicine cat cursed quietly to himself before moving quiety further along the river side. He kept a
bit further, approaching the river with caution. Seeing a school of fish, he quietly krept towards the
river, his claws unleashing. The tom finally lifted his paw, keeping an eye on his shadow before it
splashed into the water, pulling a small fish onto the bank. WindTail quickly slashed his claw at the
neck of the fish, killing it with ease. Yet, the white tom was aware this fish was bearly enough for
two cats. WindTail went back to the river side, carefully scanning the water for more prey.

Oh, you don't have to thank me, Willowfrost. It's the truth. Feeling that warmth again, Hawktalon shook his head and increased his pace a bit, stopping at the tree and digging up the prey. Grabbing it tight in his jaws, he turned to Willowfrost, noting how pretty her silver pelt looked beneath Silverpelt. "Think anything happened while we were gone?" he asked idly, his whiskers twitching as he locked his gaze on Silverpelt again. Part of him wanted to stay out there with Willowfrost until dawn; part of him told him to go home. Maybe we can stay out a littler later... but what bothers me is that no patrols have passed through here and there aren't that many scents... or maybe it's just me, I was never a good tracker.

Batpaw nearly choke on the awkwardness that seemed to fill the air. B-but he usually tells me whatever or something like that ... neither one of us can stop stammering... uggh.. "O-okay, I-i'll just wait I g-guess," the ebony tom stammered out quietly, laying down and tucking his legs and forelegs beneath him as another shiver went through him. Is this the first time I've ever slept near my mentor? Quickly dismissing the thoughts, the apprentice muffled a sneeze, praying to Starclan Windtail found one soon. Wrapping his tail around his forelegs, he closed his filmy blue eyes, keeping his radar dish ears erect. Although the situation was rather tense and uncomfortable, the apprentice felt vulnerable out here. Unable to see. In the dark. Where the snakes lurked. With badgers. And no Windtail. Starclan help me.

She watched as he dug up the prey. Flicking her ear as he asked a question, she meowed," I doubt anything to serious happened." she meowed. "I'm sure if anything did happen a patrol would've come find us for help." she added, reassuring both herself and Hawktalon. She looked up at the stars and held back a loud purr. Oh how I wish we could stay out her forever, sharing tongues under Silverpelt, hunting, just enjoying time alone. she thought to herself.
