@Middy
Glad everyone's okay!
Our house doesn't have AC, but it's built so that it's naturally cool all day long. And it gets hot out, so we usually avoid mid day galavanting, unless it's with Honey, then they wrestle in the shade (which is a nice temp, then add a cool breeze).

---------------------------------------------------

Epic's been doing pretty good with a fair number of people coming over to our house. And my dad hangs out right outside our screen door, and sometimes has a couple dudes over and they talk. Epic's slowly getting used to it, she'll bark a couple times then go quite and leave them alone.

We had a family coming over today, and I wasn't sure if they'd be coming inside, or if we'd just being hanging outside. I locked Epic in my room just incase as they have much younger children, and four of them are autistic, and Epic hadn't been out much.
So she was in my room most of the day, which turned out good because they brought their pets over, and for some reason I can't see Epic getting along with a kitten or a chihuahua.

She had a short play time with Honey, got some zoomies out, then we went on a walk with Archie and his owner. We didn't go as far as usual as there was a group of about six farm dogs on the road having a tussle, so we turned around.
We passed two horses on the way, and they scared Epic, so I gave her a loose leash and we jogged a bit to make some distance. Then a couple farmers were cleaning their pig pen, so some pigs were squealing. That got Epic's attention really good.
Now we have tentative plans on going to the lake together, mainly just to get the dogs out, and see if Epic has any interest in shallow quiet water. We'll just have to see if Archie will share his car.

Hey tere, I'm new. I suggest that there be a section of the first post that has helpful links. The reason: I had a huge scare today with my Yellow Lab, Tucker.

I came up from spending some time in my basement-room, to find my dog wheezing and gasping for breath. I was Terrified! Thank god i remembered something out of my Small animal and vetrenary care class. I had to do the dog-version of the heimlight maneuver on him because i couldnt see what he was choking on. I got it out after about six tries. It was my sisters tennis-ball sized jawbreaker!. Im still at a loss for words, so scared, and im still shaking. it happened about an hour ago.

I would also suggest a link to a list of safe foods for dogs and other helpful things. I will update with pictures in a moment.

Look up reverse sneezing. It is a common reaction to things that irritate the dog's nose. It sounds scary, but is harmless.

Fairytale- how is Mavis?

The AC is back on, and we are starting to cool down! Chewie is back to his silly normal self. Princess is still super lazy and laid out on the floor right now lol

She was supposed to come home today, but this weekend was so busy and I had a bad migraine so I didn't finish getting everything ready. She'll be coming home on Thursday or Friday. On the bright side, she is being treated for demodex right now, so it gives her a bit more time to recover before I bring her home.

Jeez, I'm sorry that happened to your dog. I'm glad you knew how to help him. Is he okay?

I thought you had her already haha. Sorry, been a rough couple days. I'm a bit scatter brained!
