"Suntail, has Mintwhisker gone out for a bit long. Maybe we should start the Dawn patrol." Splashclaw mewed softly so Roseheart couldn't hear.

Suntail nodded, "Yeah, I guess we should, who else is going?"

Nightshade chuckled and jumped down in front of Mintwhsiker. "Nothing, yet," she said, keeping her eyes locked on his. "I'd sheath those claws of your, though, because with one flick of my tail-" she raised the black tip of her tail into the air threateningly, "-your precious mate dies, throat cut, body tossed into a stream, never to be seen again."

Mintwhisker growled but put his claws away.

"Seems like most of the camp is sleeping, but if we find Mintwhisker we can say he was with us." Splashclaw mewed.

"There, you see?" said Nightshade teasingly. "Isn't that better? Now we can talk, friendly-like." She took a few steps closer and walked a circle around Mintwhisker, inspecting him. "You seem like the reasonable type. What would you give to get your mate back? Name your price."

"Anything." He growled, not liking being circled, and keeping his guard up.

Suntail nodded, "I can wake Flowerpaw."

Splashclaw nuzzled Roseheart. "Me and Suntail are going on a dawn patrol. We'll be back soon and we'll bring Mintwhisker back with us." He started to walk to the camp entrance.

Roseheart nuzzled him back and layed back down watching them walk to the entrance.
