What does she do at night?: Although the stable she stays at only allows them out over night during the summer, Jolly often finds herself sitting or standing in the pasture grass surrounded by the other Quagga mares at the residence. The stallions and mares are separated where she stays so the two groups are often found huddled against the dividing fence grooming one another, strengthening the bonds they wouldn't otherwise have. During the winter, however, Jolly will pull the straw from her hay net, which hangs by the door in order to create more bedding on top of the sawdust already there. This helps her keep warmer than other equines around her.
